I was an avid q2 player, and for some reason (call me crazy, or anything else you'd like), it just didnt have the expected feel that i had hoped... but then in q3's defense, i didnt really give it a shot (pun intended) when i saw how horribly far away from the atmosphere of q2 it was...
I beg to defer, if you read the above article before starting your slander, you would realize that this is for servers aswell as desktop machines...
Desktop machines do need a gui period (unless your a freak hidden in the closet from the old dos days and refuse to take on the "new" technoligy of having more desktop area) =D
Its precisely this "lag" of flexibility that makes people more productive in a macosx environment...
Dont get me wrong i love my linux box, almost as much as my macosx box, but i find i spend to much time adapting the look&feel on my linux box to what i want rather than doing my job....
Insidently there IS hacks for the macosx aqua window manager to replace the eyecandy if that is what you want...

Seriously though, there sole reason for leaving the Mac is because they dont think there is room for both FCP and Premiere, now this indirectly implies to me that they will try to enter the more professional area, hench start competing with AVID, now avid has middlesized packages aswell (avidExpress is imho)...
well perhaps im reading to much into the situation... Their action just seems ironic to me....
So instead of fighting for glory with Apple, they will now put all their eggs in one basket in the competition against AVID? Makes no business sense to me...
I don't consider my self being a Terrier walking yuppie, though i have a mac....
I wouldn't buy a Toyota to drive in, if i could get an BMW... Given both cars would take me from PointA to PointB, one would do it with comfort and style....

The eject button is part of the apple keyboard on the right side... so its either that or drag the cd/dvd to the trashbin (anyone other than me find this rather unlogic for a burner?)
Has anyone considered that the news might be about osx.3? feature freeze is about a week away, and still no press release or any official news about this...
Though music to you ears does sound like somthing different, its still a posibility...
