Though now the only one left near me is at a movie theatre.. All the games are at least 5 years old, and they have no classics, except the old TMNT arcade game. They do have Time Crisis, but the calibration is off on the gun...
While I'm happy for gamefaqs owner, I just don't know about this. Yes, everything that is there NOW will remain free, however what's to stop C|Net from making new stuff premium for a time, similar to what IGN does?
Not to mention, new faqs will likely become property of C|Net, thus allowing them to do whatever.
Regular dice have six sides with one through six spots. That means that each regular die (singular for dice) has one side with 2 spots, which is 1 out of 6, or 1/6 or 16.66666666% - not 17% - you were close, but incorrect.
He rounded correctly, just with a lower precision. You on the other hand chose to be more precise, but rounded incorrectly.
Anyway, the guys fails to look at the fact that the concentration of original games is higher than that of the other systems.
He calls Mario Sunshine a crappier version of Mario 64... what the hell? Sunshine is a great game, and has a cool angle to it. I mean, c'mon, how many games do you see that have you spray the enemies with water and clean up sludge?
Wind Waker is another great game. I'm perplexed as to how he feels it is the same as OoT or MM... neither had sailing, the enemy AI was levels below WW, no droppable weapons, I could go on for a while.
Metroid Prime. So its a sequel. Its a brilliantly executed sequel. The only "fps" I'll ever play on a console.
As stated, Animal Crossing and Pikmin stand on their own.
I agree. Personally, I like it when games have interfunctionality.
GBA linkup? I have a GBA, and if I really want to, I'll stop at Blockbuster and use my (unofficial) employee discount to get a link cable for cheap.
As for stuff like Pokemon, I have friends who like the game too, we make sure to buy different versions. Easy enough.
Just have to deal with it. There's plenty of idiots out there that can't accept that violence is part of human nature, even more so in emotional times, and as such, blame it on media.
Before games, it was music, before that movies, before that certian books.
Of course, its also human nature to "pass the buck" or so it seems.
Tolkien goes into too much detail when writing. Thus the, as another poster mentioned, "Oh god, when will it end?" reaction.
It's not that it's a hard read, it's that it moves way too slowly. IIRC, there's a good page about Treebeard when we first meet him. A simple, "he looks like an aging cypress tree with a face" would work pretty well.
Not really programming, though there is some proprietary scripting involved.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the official URL, so you'd have to search on Google.
Should prove to be interesting. How will one put the games on the cartidge though? That would require a specially built device for it, which would either require money or scrapping another GBA.
Except I doubt your DVD is protected by a dongle.
NESticle is the only NES emulator you need.

Very nice place though.

Mine installed perfectly. Just need to make sure you're in a reletively dust-free environment and that you apply the screen as soon as you uncover it.

I seem to recall reading about a possible Terminator game in Cinescape months ago... whether this is what it meant or not though, I'm not certian
That, IMO, is one of the main reasons that PS2 won out over the Dreamcast.
And I was really looking forward to Malice... hopefully they'll find another backer.

True.
But Tolkien get REDICULOUS in length. Not that I don't like the books, but as I said, he's too descriptive.
For those that don't know, Simon Birch was adapted from Owen Meany. Though alot is left out of the movie, and the ending changes.

I was beginning to think I shouldn't have bothered...
Though now I think I need to figure out where I put it...
They've already stated that some games just won't work. Tilt-games, and games that rely on the IR sensor won't work.
Of course, that still probably is the bulk of the innards.
I got a Radeon 9100 for $100 off eBay. That will proabably be sufficient to run it pretty well.
Still though, this is great. Sam and Max was one of my favorite games.
3-d monitors are evil.
Seriously though, good eye. (Your's, not Sauron's)
They've always charged $3.99 for all DVDs...
still cool though.
