Everyone here seems to be extolling the virtues of mac OS X. I'm just curious if anyone has had experience putting Linux on a mac power/ibook. I'm thinking of buying a new laptop some time soon (6 months or so) and I just love those mac notebooks, but I also love my Linux. How easy/doable is it to put Linux on one of these?

    Thanks -Colin

Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape-like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered

This article [slashdot] is the reason I started playing Go this summer. It is truly a beautiful game. When playing chess I'm trying to crush an opponent, when playing Go I feel more like I'm painting a picture with them. Plus I love that two players of uneven skill can play an even game because of the way the rating system is set up.
