A friend of my dad's told me the different between NA and Europe once. He said North Americans live to work, while Europeans work to live. I've found it to be quite true
Are you kidding? They should run the whole OS on IE8. Think of the speed; only what you need will be downloaded, nothing else. An OS-in-a-web-browser is the logical perfect operating system, and to top it off, Microsoft can easily cut off your OS access if you don't pay their monthly fee, thereby curbing piracy once and for all!
Or perhaps, every now and then after killing and/or socializing with other creatures and finding relics and things, the Creator decides to modify us...
After finding some reviews on the game itself and how it was dumbed down to barely resemble what was promised, I canceled the download and decided I just didn't care.
By the way, those reviews are bollocks. I've been playing it almost nonstop for 3 days, it's quite simple (until the space stage, when it literally gets about 100 times harder) but it's great fun to play. And what 'was promised', anyway? A 99% accurate recreation of real life, or a fun approximation?
the example of the rustling grass is a case where the link is rarely true, but the prehistoric human knows it is _occasionally_ true because she's seen people being eaten by lions after hearing the grass rustle
What is this new trend of using the feminine gender for giving generic examples of something people may do? It's stupid enough under most circumstances, but here you didn't even need to use ANY gender, you could've said 'they' but you said 'she'. Why? Is it some kind of desperate effort to appear in keeping with the suffragette movement, for the purposes of political correctness? Hitting out against 'the man' - and I do mean, the MAN?

The DRM means I will never buy it anyway.
Shame really, but I'm not putting that DRM crap on my system.
Actually, I'm coming to believe a section in science class called "Challenges to the Theory of Evolution" could be extremely productive. You could take common problematic arguments like "If humans evolved from apes, why are there still apes?" and address some of the reasons why they're poor challenges.
No, this is very dangerous. There are lots of educated creationists about. Do you really want to see things like this happening?
Just search for benchmarks, something like reiserfs beats ext2 by huge margins when it comes to important workloads such as a mail server.
Hell, it probably beats it to death.

Giggity, giggity, goo!
No, GNU's not Unix.
Don't they usually have the option of ejection and parachuting in modern planes?

Could you generalize a bit more on that?

You know what else retains value in the midst of a financial panic? Skyscrapers.
You've obviously never heard of 9/11. :-)
The man is spinning in his grave!
Just let Cray pass into history.
Reminds me of the Lehman brothers...
Hey, give them some time to develop for cutting edge technology, damnit! They can't be expected to redesign their website EVERY decade.
... they can reliably read someone's mind to determine whether they committed a crime?
That is mental.
Unfortunately we can't use the online Spore creature sharing community thingy, which sounded cool, but oh well. :-(
Nah, he just watches the UN secretary general and lots of courts marshall.

Unless you warez it, right?

In reality this is all about pandering to the right wing christian voters.
That seems like as good a reason to avoid voting for her (party) as any.
(A few days later, this [multiply.com] appears)
That site requires signing up, and its entry has been taken off of bugmenot.com's list by request.
Do you have a site that doesn't suck with the same content?
That's it. You're FIRED!!
And you mispronounced his name twice, too. It isn't Alan, OK? It's SrAlan. Practice it. 'SrAlan, please have mercy on my soul'.
Wow... and if Penn Jillette said it, it MUST be true!!!
NTFS does support shrinking. I've used it to shrink a full disk partition down a bit to install a Linux one on the side.
I think you might need to free a few more of them to install something like Linux.
