a bigger pile of steaming dogshit i have never seen
Well that makes one of you. I actually like Office 365 and Office in general. With that being said I've also used several versions of Libreoffice. Since version 5 I have found it to be usable. While it won't replace office in every situation, but for work with word and excel it can be use 90% of the time for Excel. And probably 98% of the time for Word.
This is exactly what I did but only backwards. We where required to have Windows on the hardware but most of my work was with linux. So i just ran linux in a VM for work and used windows for outlook.
I can't see any use legitimate use for this kind of shit. If you feel you must us it to keep track of a "dishonest" partner, then you have bigger issues in your relationship. It would probably be best if you are resorting to spying on their every move with spyware to dissolve the relationship and move on. At least that would be a honest thing to do.
Same thing applies to using it to keep track of teens. If your relationship is so bad with your children that you must resort to using underhanded methods to keep them in check, then you have bigger issues. Instead of using bullshit like this you should spend the time to build a better and trusting relationship with your children.
We don't live in the world where we have to download mp3s anymore, it's much easier to stream legitimately from spotify than it is to pirate. Now, if only we could get rid of the DRM completely.
If you are legitimately using Spotify for streaming music, or even offline use, why does it matter if the service has DRM or not? Other than general principles of opposing DRM in the first place. I've used Spotify for years and never been inconvenienced by the DRM.
The problem with nuclear power is hippies. Yup, hippies, you can blame it all the smelly hippies from the 1960s. Actually, if you take it to the extreme you can blame just about every problem we have today from world hunger to climate issues on a pack of smelly hippies.
You see hippies started protesting nuclear weapons, which is good. But being the uneducated lot they are they didn't just stop there, they also protested peaceful development of nuclear power. They bitched about nuclear medicine, research, and every fucking thing that had anything to do with "nuclear" in the name.
Did it stop nuclear weapons development? Fuck no. But it did grind everything else to a halt. And because of fucking hippies we are stuck with nuclear power plants designed in the '60 and built in the '70s. It is why there has been no new ones built in 40 years and why it is so expensive to build one.
Hippies are the reason why we can't ship nuclear waste to be reprocessed and we still have coal plants polluting the planet. If the hippies had put down the bong and picked up a science book they might have solved the problem instead of causing it..
But the hippies didn't just kill fission research, no they had to keep bitching about fusion too. Something that has nothing to do with splitting atom the smelly hippie couldn't keep his uneducated yap shut. So thanks to this line of bullshit all research in fusion was all so ground to a halt.
So next time you see a hippie thank him for pollution, food shortages around the world, wars in middle east and africa, and plastics in the drinking water. Thank you smelly hippies.
I'd like to think that if the intelligence agencies devoted their time and effort to helping companies identify security weaknesses and shore them up, we wouldn't be seeing massive data breaches every few months.
You would like to think that but lets make no bones about it. The intelligence and LEA agencies are here for one purpose only. Keeping those in power, in power. Doesn't matter if they deserve it or not. They may operate under the guise of "protecting the country" but when it comes right down to it, its the same thing as keep those in power in power.
Damn Straight. An I hope that there is a position open for tour guide. "Off to the left fellow deceased slashdotters, you see Ajit Pail. Please feel free to piss on him as we go by."
Which is why the best way to handle this shit is with an anonymous letter to the CEO, newspaper, and whatever government authorities are needed. Like local and state police come to mind. Include copies of any evidence that can't be traced back to you.
Just make sure you don't do something stupid like print it at your office or mail it from there. Best yet is to mail it from a neighboring town that you don't live in.
The last video express in my home town finally closed down a few years ago. It was the last place you could go to actually rent a movie in a store. Then outside the corpse of the old store the dropped a redbox.
You might think I'm over-hyping that, but we're out here talking about it almost a year later!
The fact that we are still talking about it almost a year later should be a indication of how poorly it was handled by Google. If Google would have just internally disciplined him and not fired him, we probably would never heard about it at all.
No only should you have the option to opt in, I don't think my machine should be reporting anything to anyone outside of a bug check. You want to know something about my machine you ask me.
Drop a read me file in the root directory with a link to a site that I can submit the information that I choose to submit.
I'm trying to forget Suicide Squad but also totally forgot about Luke Cage.
I don't have any problem with fanfare, I just didn't want Blade swept under the rug. Blade was a nice breath of fresh air after sparkly vampires and romantic vampires.....
Black Panther as if yet another superhero movie is something remarkable
People are making a big deal out of the Black Panther, some are saying it is the first black super hero. They are forgetting Blade with Wesley Snipes was back in 1998, 20 years ago.

This will go over like a turd in the punchbowl. An if you live in Rhode Island it will only cost you $20 to see that.
You have my condolences on your loss. Should have been playing World of Tanks, then your ass wouldn't have gotten sunk.
. I can cite military Navy vessels being sank due to improperly applied Windows 2000 patches.
Bull Fucking Shit!. Name one.
They are economical and they are safe.

Windows Phone 10 is still alive and well. It's still a better phone OS than the other two
Some one is off their meds again.

Then sit back and watch the fun.

Don't we have a chimp or a rabbit that we could test this stuff on first?
No, but we have a bunch of dumb ass naked apes.
But I just got all my shit working again....
No duh. Where are we going to build our first dyson sphere? In the middle of Kansas?
You might think I'm over-hyping that, but we're out here talking about it almost a year later!

This may not be a freedom of speech issue but it is still a dick move by Google. One that I hope comes back and bites them in the ass.
planned to place graphics on all the windows to prevent this sort of thing
A skull and crossbones comes to mind.
Like what? I'm not trying to be a smart ass here but have you been able to do this with bitcoin?
You want a slow computer? I got a nice intel processor I can sell you.
