And how, exactly, would that be a problem? Or more precisely, why should we as Westerners be obligated to subsidize the rest of the world to our own detriment?
You westerners are not subsidising the rest of the world. Even though the items are being sold cheaper in certain countries, the publishers are still making profit. They're making less profit per item, but profit nonetheless. Subsidy is when an item is being sold at less than the market value, and somebody else is making up the difference.
The question you should be asking is, if the publishers are able to make a profit selling the items at low prices elsewhere, why can't they sell those items cheaper locally?
I would beg to differ with that. Cold is a subjective perception. From a human's point of view, anything lower than body temperature is "cold", and anything higher is "hot". So, let' say we take body temperature as 37 deg C. 0 deg C is -37 degrees below the point of reference. So twice as cold as 0 degrees would be -74 degrees below body temperature i.e. -37 deg C.
What are Shittes? I suppose you mean Shiites? In that case, what you just said is not so much racist as it is illogical, since you would be advising the Shiites to avoid themselves.
Shiites == Shias.
You keep saying "this is... legal". Who cares? This is slashdot, not a court of law. We don't care about legality. We're discussing whether what Zimmerman did was right or wrong.
Right != legal
Wrong != illegal
LPG only stays at liquid form when it's inside the gas tank. Once it's released for burning as fuel, it becomes a gas, so using the term gas for LPG is correct, since the user only always sees it as a gas. So the car does run on gas, since the fuel that enters the combustion chamber is in gas form.
It's not just to make me happy. Gas has a specific meaning in English, which is one of the classical states of matter other than solid or liquid. Why do you call something 'gas' when it's obviously a liquid?
So what term do you use when a car actually runs on gas, as in, natural gas?
A perpetual check would be evaluated as 0.00+.
Stalemate only happens in the endgame, when there are few pieces on the chessboard. In these case, going down the tree would be much faster that when in the middle game. So there would be no reason to stop the evaluation at this point. Any time the line reaches the endgame stage, then it would be more sensible to let the analysis run to tablebase.
I expect that Rajlich knows this.
According to the Wikipedia article, the ID card contains only the thumbprint. OTOH, the current biometric data collection exercise collects prints of all the fingers.
The thing is, even if we accept 'beg' as an alternative to 'raise', 'begging the question' is not grammatically correct. Try to replace 'question' with 'money', for example. 'I raise money for orphans' is correct. However, 'I beg money for orphans' is obviously wrong. The correct usage is 'I beg for money for orphans', which does sound awkward, but is grammatically correct. Likewise, the grammatically correct phrase would be 'begging for the question' instead of 'begging the question'.
Whoa! I had a dream about something like this last night. In my dream, a meteor/asteroid hit the water and caused a flood and I thought I was going to die. However, I survived and the water receded. Due to the flood, all electrical/electronic stuff basically died and people basically had to survive without technology.
In the company I work for, we get paid the same every month, but if ever there's a need to calculate our daily salary, then the monthly salary would get divided by the number of days in the month. For example, let's say my salary is $3000/month. If, say, I were to take a day of unpaid leave in January, my salary for that month would be deducted by $3000/31, but if I were to take unpaid leave in February this year, it would be deducted by $3000/29.
In effect, this means I get paid more per day in February compared to in other months.

(BTW, is the answer "136.575 Kelvins"?)
You mean -136.575 Celsius, right ? C;-)

If gas = gasoline, the natural gas = natural gasoline.
Anyway, why do you shorten an 8-letter, 3-syllable word (gasoline) to 'gas' but would say/spell out in full a 10-letter, 4-syllable word?

I wish Americans would stop using "gas" when they mean gasoline. Over here we have cars running on actual gas, as in, vapor hydrocarbon.
I'm stabbing in the dark, but it might be to ensure that most of the people surveyed in the census is dead, so any privacy issue is minimised.
What a nigel?
If it's one move from checkmate, piece values are irrelevant to the evaluation.

Why argue about the soil? It's a red herring, if you ask me. You can find crops for any type of soil, even pure sand. The real problem is fresh water.
Are you sure it's not because Americans are heavier?
At least one moderator disagrees with you.

So is security.

Freedom of speech is overrated.
Those are a few hours of my life I'll never get back.
As opposed to the other hours of your life you would be able to get back?

That's not a bug, it's a feature.
Seriously.
