As an example - if someone made a car that looked very much like a Jaguar, but cost a third as much and had more commodity parts under the hood, and started selling it as the Panther. That's very obviously wrong, and even those theme-makers will probably agree.
I disagree. Since it has lesser parts in it, the consumer is getting what they pay for. If all they want is a car that looks nice, then why should they have to go spend all that money on the Jaguar when all they want is a nice looking A to B car?

Um, WTF. You're missing the point of DVDs. Having your own copy of a movie at home is better than all those previous methods becuase I get to decide when and where I want to watch it. If a friend comes over who hasnt seen it I can just pop it in and we can watch it... in any room of my house! DVDs are superior to VHS for me becuase it's easier to get where I want to in the movie, there is no rewinding, and they look better. Plus pausing is nicer and I can zoom and such. Oh yeah! Almost forgot! I can watch the DVD as many times as I want, something I can't do with the movie theatre, cable, or VHS (VHS tapes wear out after many watchings). So DVDs are really nice for people who like to decide when they want to watch the movie (and cheaper if you're talking about watching the movie with your family!).

I for one enjoy the movie more if everyone in the audience is participating. It makes the movie a lot more fun if the hero makes a pun and everyone groans or if they joke and everyone laughs, or if there is something suprising happens and everyone gasps. Going to the movies with a good audience only enhances the expierence. I would imagine I'd feel rather uncomfortable if something really funny happened and no one laughed.

That means car companies could all agree to jack up the cost of all thier cars 20,000$. Or all the gas stations could charge more. Or any other product or service could skyrocket in price and you'd have no means of recourse!!! These types of laws stop monopolies and cartels.
