I created my hotmail account a long time ago now. Back then there were very few alternatives it was Hotmail or Yahoo. I chose hotmail mainly because a lot of my friends also used MSN Messenger and at the time, having a Hotmail account was the only way to access it (the Passport service hadn't been introduced then).

As to why I haven't changed, its for the same reason you don't move house unless you actually have to. I use my hotmail address to deal with a number of online retailers and personal friends. Changing it would only waste a lot of time for no real reason. For a free e-mail service, it is perfectly adequate.

If he had been copying all his papers from the internet, then I'm sure the university must have known he was doing it for quite some time. In which case, why did they wait before kicking him out?

  16. Re:It better on Xbox 2 - The Price of Compatibility? · · Score: 2, Insightful

Why would people care if its backwards compatible or not? If you already own XBox games, then I'm guessing (unless you're a compulsive shopper) you have an XBox. If you don't have an XBox and get an XBox 2 the majority of people can't afford to finance buying games for what is essentially 2 platforms. Finally (and I know I'm only going from personal experience here) how many PS2 owners have bought a PS1 game specifically for their PS2? Certainly not me. If it would involve too many sacrifices to get the XBox 2 to be backward compatible. Please ditch the old games. Supporting old hardware/software has held the PC industry back for too long. Don't let the same happen to consoles.

  17. Re:This game is going to suck. on Half-Life 2 Targeted for Summer Release · · Score: 1

Open your eyes man. This game would've been delayed whether or not the code had been leaked. What was actually leaked was a reasonably small percentage of the game. What we have here is a very convienient excuse for developers to fix bugs that would've been patched had the game been released on schedule. If this prevents me from not having to download a 250MB patch from FilePlanet just to be able to play the damn game, I'm all for waiting.
