I guess that means I get to use my old aerosol hairspray and put leaded gasoline in my car, and use the old RJ-12 Freon when I eventually migrate to Mars.
Well...I do miss the 80s...maybe there is hope. As long as we can redo the 80s without Michael Jackson...
Ugh that is worse than IE web developers forcing add-on modules just to view one web page.
On the same note I do agree with the last statement. I hate needing ActiveX or flash just to view one stupid page then being bombarded with popup ads that cover the article I'm trying to read.
Yeah I use firefox but many computers I work on (work, customers, Mom, etc) do not.
I'm still going through courts for a bugus DUI charge after 2 years. It is insanely slow and since my insurance company found out (hmmm I wonder how when I'm not convicted), my rates went up to $980/6 months. So far it has cost me over $5,000 and I'm not even convicted. Right to a speedy trial....yeah right.
I used some freeware that would take a snapshot and store on an ftp site based on how many pixels changed to know when to take a picture. It was probably 5+ years ago. I haven't looked at any of the newer stuff though.

I did. they aren't white any more.....the underwear is a different story....
Well that would be true if it were on all the time. It probably will have a way to "key the mic" where you hold a button or something while you do your gestures or whatever. Just a guess but something has to be done so it isn't tryign to constantly figure out what I'm trying to say just by walking.
My T-Mobile does that next to the speakers on my computer and the speakers on my alarm clock radio even while it isn't playing. It would also do it at random times during the night without it ringing. I guess it was doing some kind of update. At that hour I didn't care and just threw it on the floor to get it away from the speakers.
handhelds are a max of 1/2 Watts here in the states. Not sure about anywhere else. You can get up around 2 (maybe higher) on the car mounted versions but not many people use those any more.
I knew someone who did that. They just wanted ppl to come by and ask for access so they could at least try to control who was on the network. Most people have more bandwidth than they want and some don't mind sharing.
I do read history and I never made claims that you put in my mouth. History says he killed 250K of them. Democrats claim its all about the oil. What did Clinton do while this was going on? Nothing. He left them hanging out to dry and die.
I have tried every resolution I can think of in my conf file and cycle from 320xsomething up to 1280x1024 and the 16:9 ratio in-betweens. If you have a conf file or know someone who has one working on a widescreen digital I would love to see it. I think it is the viewable area that is wrong but I cant' seem to tweak that part correctly. I can only pan around in the middle.
You should be happy that you have power at all. Us city dwellers have been subsidizing you rural folks since public utilities were introduced.

None of the above are available where my parents live. Dial-up max speed over current lines is around 9600 baud but keeps dropping carrier. Satellite is the only option but it is a joke with 1000+ms ping times and 420Meg/4 hr max download. You are lucky to get over 20K downloads during peak hours.
Tandy 1000 with dual 5.25" floppy drives souped up to 640K memory and an RGB monitor. 2nd computer was a 486 with a massive 40meg drive. At 2400 baud it took awhile downloading from BBSs but I did it. I even remember using Stacker 2.0 because drive space was so tight. These days I just yawn at drive sizes.
The only thing I'm trying to calibrate on my HDTV 16:9 is getting xorg.conf to fit properly so I can use mythtv on it. Has anyone got this to work properly? I can see part of the desktop but it won't pan to the edges (can't see the task bar, etc). Text mode works fine. The only example I found on google was some guy who got a PAL 16:9 to work. I used his and changed necessary stuff. It is better but it still won't pan to the edges.
more dangerous than having our entire economy dependent on Middle Eastern oil?
There are reasons behind the madness. Current administration has put more funding behind alternate fuels after Clinton cut funding so they are still playing catch-up. Facts following are from here.
It has been cheaper since the 50s to import oil than it is to mine our own (not to mention we have a reserve if others run dry). Oil only comprises of 40% of our energy use. The other 60% is our economy shifting away from this dependence. The dependence exists because...basically....half the worlds oil is in the middle east. It isn't a political issue like Kerry wanted to present it...its a matter of where the oil is physically and you can't do anything about that (see pie chart on link above).

I spent 11 hours in jail but they woke me up around 11am. That was the lame part.

And why is it searching for +"british actor" +famous on google has so many hits for gay actors? Not trying to start something...I'm serious.
Orlando Bloom (Legolas in LOTR)
His southern accent in 'The Devils Advocate' was even worse.

It makes me think of the gestures in Black and White. Took me forever to get those down...drawing friggin patterns on the ground to do stuff...bleh.
If they just watch Battlestar Galactica this Friday they'll have their answer.
Actually I had a beta copy of 3.01 ;)

Some people are generous enough to let others use bandwidth and don't care. Who are you to decide?
Dude it's John Kerry!
