step 1, try finding games that are more your style
    step 2, play them

For example, Warcraft 3 in multiplayer mode. (not World of Warcraft!!) Try the free demo from Blizzard. You can have a whole game in an hour or two.

Or else, if first person killing is your thing, try playing them online. You will wonder how you were such a square not to try multiplayer.

As an engineer, I could not even consider a player with a built in battery. I got an iriver which uses one AA battery, and 4 Energizer AA rechargables. I just went on a 17 day trip to europe and took trains until I could puke, and did not run out of power. If I had, I would have popped in a regular AA which would last for 40 hours. Not to mention I've had the player and these batteries over 2 years already, and I use it everyday. Hint hint, I control the charging. I go from dead to full not up and down as I plug it in to my USB--how lame.

Same for digital cameras. Buy the ones that use CRV3 litium ion rechargables. If it dies on you, it is the same size as 2 AA batteries, so you have an awesum backup. I found that with the screen on, a pair of NiMH AA recharables last about 2 days, but the CRV3's last about 2 months. No really. Pentax all the way.

CRV3 ROCKS! Got mine and a charger from Radio Shack.

What we are seeing is evolution. People who ipod in public aren't mating as much and thus they are dying out. For example, I can sit at my son's soccer game with my headphones, alone and isolated, or I can chat with the other parents and have a social life... even go to parties! In a simular vien, I can sit in the car while they get out of school or I can go out and wait with the pretty moms some of whom may be single. *GONG*

Hint hint, if a female faces you, or faces directly away from you, then she may want your attention.

HP changed when Windows XP became stable, Pentiums became fast, memory got cheap and nvidia made the geforce. At my office we switched from using $40,000 HP risk computers to $6000 PCs almost overnight. About that time, my impression of HP's same-day-solution phone support went from outstanding to lame. For example, they used to keep spares of all our stuff in Winnipeg to ensure they could do same day service. Then they started shipping it from Toronto next day instead and making excuses to get me to allow them to not do same-day even though we paid for it.

HEY, I just thought of something, if HP is run by a criminal, then how can we trust their computers, network gear and periferials? What is to prevent Dunn from making sure that the computers bought by a newspaper don't contain extra chips to encrypt and call home? Oh my god, time to get out the screw drivers. I can't imagine buying HP equipment for corporate usage after this! Who is to say how low they will stoop, or have already stooped.

At the very least, I can see her allowing the government to build a secret room like AT&T. For example, HP engineers design a system. Then the design is prototyped and sent away for "testing". The design comes back 1% different, no one notices since it is done by a cold-war-superpower, and voila... I'm sure power-line networking will never come because it is already being done, on us, behind our backs.

Guess what, the new one gets watched more, movies fit the screen and as a bonus, several of our scrambled channels are decoded by the tuner.

Why watch crap? That is what SD is. PS: get a HD TV that can scale SD to HD properly or you will not be happy. I had to return a $1500 LCD and get a $3500 one as I realized that the video processor is the most important part.
