In the US, the state DMV's get lots of license plates refused due to this, but it hasn't stopped them from printing them with 666 in them (at least in California).
You could have a new version of SMTP, maybe called SMTP2 that would refuse connections from an SMTP1 server. That would cause most people to change rather quickly, and might even be workable.
Everyone would also have to upgrade their email clients (Eudora, Outlook, whatever), as they use SMTP to send outgoing mail, even if they relay through their ISP's servers.
They do call it Mozilla. Phoenix (and Chimera,...) are OTHER browsers, based on the same Gecko renderer, etc., but are not the same as the Mozilla browser.
Maybe they mean ultraviolence in the original sense; that of A Clockwork Orange... i.e. punks running around with clubs (or baseball bats) beating the crap out of everyone in sight.:)
So, what happens when Dell realizes they're not making enough money on printers and discontinues them?
Where are you gonna get ink?
Why buy from Dell when it's just a remarked Lexmark? Just buy the Lexmark, the ink/toner will be much more widely available, and probably less expensive.
I don't know if they're still around, but when I lived in Atlanta, there was a small chain called Peachtree Salvage.
They were the exclusive sellers of damaged UPS (United Parcel Service) goods. If it got damaged (even just the box) by UPS, it would end up there.
We got all kinds of great stuff there when I was a kid. When PacMan came out on the 2600, we got it for $6 instead of the $50 list. The box was damaged and the manual was missing, but it worked fine.
Bigbook shows a "Peachtree Quality Salvage"... that is probably it.
It isn't an MX.
The MX's had fewer features; this one is full-featured, just slower.

Does he say Jag-wire too?
Sure, maybe they can start paying people to use their software.

Does that mean he was the only one having sex? :P
Sure, it's 1d10t :)
Also, he never destroyed any data, stole or embezelled any money, and, AFAIK, he never released the source code he downloaded from Digital.
Although he definitely trespassed, he is not the monster many have made him out to be.
Read the unpublished first chapter of his new book. (Google for it.)
He HAS expressed regret for what he did.

Why are this and other science stories not showing up on the Slashdot home page?
It's now 4/17/03 23:43 GMT
Maybe he stole the Apple so he could play the original Castle Wolfenstein.
(yes, I know it came out on PC, but the sound was horrid)
Sorry, Slashdot doesn't support HTTPS, and AFAIK they don't run a VPN for me either. :P

Weston is right...
I lived in Glendale in 1978 and 1979, we had "Smog Alerts" constantly.
It's actually somewhat better now, believe it or not.
But I still wouldn't live there if you paid me.
Be sure to see this picture to see what I mean!
Yeah... Too bad for the music division that the CE division has 5X the revenues.
ISTM This is a joke or a troll. Why has it been modded Informative?
How does this help me get my 90GB collection into a portable device?
So does Google.
Considering they say it can use storage on any computer in the house, it must speak TCP, at least on some of the modules.

I've always wondered why RedHat doesn't chroot jail things like apache, bind, etc.
