Several years ago, I was reading a review of "new" ADSL technology. The article said that you'd see much faster browsing and downloads, but some servers were so slow that having broadband didn't matter. "Take a bow, NASA".
I'd honestly love to see ActiveX ads. Especially if they become more popular than Flash ads. Why? Because none of the browsers/OSes I use support ActiveX. Built-in ad blocking at its finest:)
I'm sure sure that comparing it with QuickTime is valid. QuickTime is a media architecture (with a player), and WMV is a video format. I definitely prefer QuickTime, as I can use its player for virtually every format out there - with the exception of WMA/WMV (funny that), and those horrible Real formats.
Personally, I think that external FireWire are the best, because they seem to have better cross-platform compatibility. I use a Mac, and it's hard to find someware for internal PCI tuners.
I think (although I'm not certain) I read somewhere that a quantum computer is like an analogue computer - where you're not restricted by 0 and 1. Is that correct?
By "it was always Holland", I meant that everyone called it Holland, not The Netherlands. I didn't mean to say that its official name was always Holland.
I get frustrated when I need to start up RealOne in order to play a RealAudio or RealVideo file. While it's nice for Real to offer a binary Linux player, how about releasing some system-wide codecs that any player can use? I'm clueless as to how the Linux media system works, but it shouldn't be too hard to make a system-wide codec, should it?
I use OS X, and I'd love to be able to drop a Real decoder into my QuickTime directory and have full access to Real files in any QT-capable app (which is most of them). They've released an encoder, but no decoder yet.
So, again, what's the point in the Helix Player? If you can't play RealAudio/Video files, why would you want it? I'm not trying to flame or anything, but I just don't see the point.
Lots of people have asked whether you can run Linux on the emulator, but what about running the emulator on Linux? Has anyone ported it yet? I can't get too excited over an emulator that I can't run:(

Fortunately, they've improved since then!
Since we're already off topic...

Dashboard copying Konfabulator? I disagree. If anything, I think Konfabulator's copying Desk Accessories, which date back to System 0.
Just out of interest, how does a telesync work? Does it still use a camcorder? They certainly look a lot better than the typical "cam" releases.

You don't need to answer that
Do you mean to say that Internet Explorer's not a virus either?!
Let's see, this is something that spreads without the user's consent, and is probably difficult to get rid of. Sounds like a virus to me.

And that "someware" is supposed to be "software" :)

That's the tonne, 1000 kg. An ton, on the other hand, is about 907 kg, which is not metric.
Except it's "New Zealand". But I suppose that's just a language difference.

It was always Holland when I was a kid. I had never heard the name "Netherlands" until a few years ago.

That's just an update to Toast to enable compatibility with DL drives. You still need a DL drive, or a firmware upgrade.

OK, so this post has no purpose
Wouldn't it make more sense to minimise assembly time so that it gets done faster?
The only real difference is that apple.com doesn't get slashdotted ;)
