I agree. I listened to music for 1.5 hours, then watched a DVD (probably about 2 hours) then listened to another hour of music, and still had battery life to spare. Screen on full brightness for the duration of the movie, although it probably turned itself off when I was playing music.
I haven't tried under VMware, but a see that this new version of OpenDarwin includes a tulip driver. I find that interesting because Virtual PC emulates a tulip card. So maybe it works under Virtual PC.
Sorry, the Mac version of Doom 3 isn't coming out simultaneously with the Windows version. According to id's CEO, thay won't release the Mac version "until it's just as polished as the PC version". But they are still working on it and hope to have it out soon.
Correct, Apple currently doesn't sell a single-processor G5. But it's common for computer companies to dictate what they'll sell. Apple doesn't sell single-processor G5s, and Dell doesn't sell Athlons. It's not fair to criticise one company, when all companies reach similar decisions.
The worst accident with my computer also involved fdisk. However, in this case, it was a bug in fdisk - I selected to delete partition 2, entered the volume label of partition 2, watched it delete partition 2, then rebooted to find partition 1 gone and partition 2 still full of data.
3. He was also probably running Win98 back then. WinXP is a much stabler OS and therefore the applications run with more reliability.
Office 98 ran on Mac OS. And Mac OS was terrible back then. I don't remember a Windows version of Office 98.
And, on a similar note:
Scully: This is a simple lie detector. It lets us know whether you're telling the truth. Do you understand?
Homer: Yes.
(detector explodes)
Right-click, Options, untick "enable the Boss" :)

Not to be confused with the Mac 'Sosumi' sound :)
The CVS version isn't fully-featured. Ironically, it lacks copy protection code.
I've downloaded and installed the demo. It is a plugin to powerpoint only.
Furthermore, it only works with the Windows version of PowerPoint. So it's very limited.
Well that was a waste of time.
I've found a couple of pics.

That's not him, it's someone else. His helmet looked a lot different.
I've seen some screenshots (from about a year ago) where he had a helmet. I wonder why they got rid of it.

I think someone read your sig and thought it was part of your message.
But at 21, I'm too young to be a grandparent! ;)
I've lost faith in Secunia, they seem to love pointing out security holes in open-source products. So I just ignore them now.

I just dug out my old Yellow Dog CDs, and it does use rpm after all. Now I'm trying to figure out what deb-based distro I used.
It's been a while, but I'm sure that Yellow Dog uses deb, not rpm.

It works on my system (OS X) with no trouble. There's an option called "Use DVD Menus" that you can disable, which might help.
And I believe that Access went from 2.0 to 7.0, an even bigger jump.

K means Kelvin, a measure of temperature.
4 K is very cold.
A stack is a collection of pancakes.
Therefore we're talking about frozen pancakes.
In other words, I have no idea.
I have a rather large /etc/hosts file, with plenty of 127.0.0.1 entries. Gets rid of most of the ads, while keeping the "useful" graphics :)
