Maybe the megaupload/TPB ppl should move their servers to Iran - im sure the Iranians dont have a problem with people messing with the Americans like this - Its surprising that the Iranian government isnt setting up these sort of sites themselves.

If I had points I would mod you up. Acronis is barely useable when backing up to a NAS and forget about it to tape - at my work we replaced it at all sites with various Symantec products and I can now sleep much better. Maybe people knock Backup Exec but ive recently restored a SAN full of VMs when HP wiped the metadata from the disks and it performed perfectly - I believe all backups need constant monitoring and testing however BE has saved my bacon so im pretty happy with it.

I have since found another industry that pays well and has similar perks such as travel, food, accommodation and tax free pay and you are in a hell of a lot nicer locations - sure you will work long hours too but then you will also get extremely generous holiday periods to compensate you for it plus the previous mentioned benefits

Yes that's true except that the U.S. is now discovering that trying to be the world's policeman is sending them broke. Maybe they have a few wars left in them but when the dollar stops being the global reserve then the days of U.S. hegemony are over as they then cannot just get the Fed to print endless money.

Its so predictable that some people will blame video games and the media when these things happen It really reminded me of the interview Michael Moore did with Marilyn Manson in Bowling for Columbine I really recommend people rewatch it as its still true now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrHFB2KP8fc Maybe its the way that governments conduct themselves that should have the finger pointed at them before they start with the media - unfortunately its much easier to blame someone or a video game rather than look at a how governments legitimize violence and the effect that this might have.

Ive found the problem is freezing your account when you make a transfer that they deem suspicious - I had them freeze one to a tour operator in Peru - I didnt understand why they couldnt look at the recipient's account and work out that based on the business they are doing its probably legit - I think also it was blocked because it was initiated from Peru - another thing that probably should have made sense. Luckily I had a friend at Paypal that sorted it out. My friend said that they helped implement changes that resulted in the security dept reducing their account lockouts by 70% Apparently their only measurement was fraud prevention hence they had a motivation to block any transfer that looked even slightly dodgy - obviously if you block every transaction their will be no fraud and they will meet their only objective - too bad for the rest of the company
