I have a laptop and a TV. I watch content on the TV because it's BIGGER and has better sound. I read slashdot on the laptop because the TV doesn't have a keyboard or browser. Sure, I could use the TV as a monitor, but then I wouldn't be able to watch TV!
Right now I'm watching a college football game. Who in their right mind would choose to watch something like that on a tiny laptop screen when there's a huge TV right here in the living room?
They are two separate tools. Each can do something the other one can't do.
With so many new shows each year, I have trouble deciding what to watch. My time is limited so I can't watch even a few minutes of every one of them. I have to go by the previews, reviews, and advice of friends. By the time I find one I want to watch, they've cancelled it or keep moving it around on the schedule making it hard to find. The premium channels seem to do a better job of promoting and scheduling, and most of the better shows lately have been on them.
My solution is to just wait and catch a whole series on Netflix or Amazon Prime. It may be a year or more after the series has ended, but if it's good, I don't care.
Oh, and while there may be a ton of new shows, there are only a few good one. Most are pure crap.
Some believe that Joseph of Arimathea was Jesus' uncle (or great uncle). In fact, some believe that he had traveled with his uncle (a trader) all around the known world before he began his ministry. Maybe Jesus was born to a wealthy family? He did know how to read and write, something a lowly commoner would not have known. He was well-read and educated. Again, not something the lower class would have been.
Do I believe it? Not really, but it is interesting to consider.
If you subtract the number of wars in which Muslims are involved, the world is nearly totally peaceful. Mod me down if you wish, but look and read and learn first. An easier way would be to name the wars NOT involving Muslims.
There can be no peace with a religion that insists on converting you or killing you.
The difference between a woman getting ready for a date and a man getting ready for a date is this: the man looks in his mirror and wonders if he'll get lucky; the woman looks in her mirror and doesn't have to wonder.
'Tis far, far easier for a woman to get a date than a man.
This has been true for all of human history. It's what makes the world go round. Don't you love it?
I didn't see anybody breaking up a fight in that video. When the video starts, the fight is already over. All I saw were two handcuffed black men and a couple of off-duty cops waiting until the NYPD got there.
Trump has his faults, but I'd still prefer a man or woman who has signed the front side of checks over somebody who has signed only the backs of checks. Sanders, Obama, Bush, Hillary, etc. never held a real job or ran a business in their lives. They know squat about how an economy is supposed to work.
What makes you think Hillary's on your side? She's on her own side. In fact, not one of the candidates from either party gives a rat's ass about you and me.
I tend to vote for the candidate who I think will do the least damage. It's a shame in a country of over 300 million people that we can't come up with better leaders than what we've had for the last few decades.
He firmly believes that this country is a democracy. It's not a democracy and never was intended to be a democracy. Democracies simply don't work. The founders knew that and that's why we're a representative REPUBLIC. That's why the country is so far off the tracks now. We need to save the republic and steer clear of any thoughts about a democracy. Don't argue with me about semantics. Words have meanings. Go study your history.
Regardless of cause, I am sure that our benevolent government in Washington D.C. will come up with the solution to this problem. My guess is that massive tax increases and drastic lifestyle changes (for us, not them) will be involved.
Seriously, won't somebody think of the children millions of generations from now?
I've taken some fantastic full moon photos. Manual mode, shutter at 1/160, aperture f16, ISO 100 (or just play with it to get the best shot for your camera). You can also adjust the aperture to suit the shot you like.
You need a shutter speed at least 1/160 because the moon is actually moving. Bumping up the ISO + a faster shutter can work, too, but I like to keep it simple.
If Microsoft would fix those specific things, I might consider downloading it. I will not tolerate a computer doing something behind my back or doing something I don't want it to do. And I HATE ads, even in a silly little game.
Cows don't have license plates, but if they did, I'm sure Boston would track them and lie about it.
Sure he can. If our current President can get one, anybody can!
That's the way I deal with it, too.
I'm hoping that so many people will complain about Microsoft's spyware that we may get their attention, but I'm not holding my breath.
I work all over the Southeast and I'm spreading the word everywhere I go. The people I work with know and trust my opinions.
You get better results with turds if you sculpt them first and then polish them.

I prefer my power be produced locally. Our state capital has plenty of hot wind for our needs.

I wouldn't know. I was out cold during my last colonoscopy. Most people are nowadays.
But I'm wide awake when it comes to being screwed by Microsoft. And it's not pleasant.

Well, there was that one time that Fred caught Wilma in bed with Barney. He was pretty hacked off about that.

I bet somebody was running Firefox.
At least they have a brain. Democrats are safe from brain-eating zombies.
A better known and safer alternative is resveratrol. You can try taking supplements which may or may not work, or just drink the red wine.
Resveratrol is an exceptional PDE-4 inhibitor. One supplement that has been thoroughly tested and found effective is Longevinex.

Actually, fucking cops can be a lot of fun. My late wife was a cop and we used to have a lot of fun. And, no, we didn't use the handcuffs!
Remember: Dial 911 and make a cop come!

Wait, do I actually have to be in Finland?
Never mind.
This is my real face ---> :-)
Somebody posted it years ago and now it's everywhere! Maybe you've re-posted it and not known the harm you were doing. Please stop.
