The GPL does state that any changes made to the kernel has to be open source but if you did everything as a modules(does not touch the kernel source just lets the kernel load this to extend the kernel) you could of kept it closed source and stuck with Linux. Many companies do this such as nvidia and ati. You should of done some research before spending time and money and planned to do this as a module.

Remember most people dont do more the type up a few pages and maybe do a simple slide show or spread sheet which OpenOffice is great at. Frankly all the cons Ive read about OpenOffice vs MS Office have been either solved in OpenOffice 2 or are such rare, unused features no one cares about them. I would suggest switching them to Thunderbird as a mail client as well. I know most people do fine with Firefox Thunderbird and OpenOffice. Well I wish you secuess.

While many users have been complaining that Win 64 has little support for their devices and many of their programs are still 32bit this is not the case on Linux. I have been running Linux 64bit for over a year now and have found that everything works with no problem. Every open source apps Ive seen works fine on x86_64 Linux. Infact the only reason why you need 32bit compatiblity on Linux is for closed source software(mainly games). Linux is years ahead of Win and probably any other OS in the 64bit OS area, and its all thanks to it being open source.

Im on a 64bit system now. Every open source app that I use has been ported to 64bit. The few 32bit apps that I have run fine in a 64bit environment, all I have to do is make sure I have 32bit libs availible for them. Recent versions of gcc and glibc offer the ablity to do this without any trouble at all. The User Land 32bit was when the AMD64 CPU first came out but things have changed.

Getting them used to OpenOffice(hopefully the beta its sooo nice), Mozilla Firefox, and Mozilla Thunderbird will help ease things out when they are finally on Linux and the users will have to get used to the Linux desktop environment(I would suggest KDE). Anyway if they are really afraid I know there are many skins to make Linux look like windows, they should consider that to.

Many times you have to do that first because I have seen XP not see ethernet cards and it has no builtin drivers for wireless cards. Then you can download and install the windows XP patches which you need to do a couple of times because the patches need patches need patches... Now you have just an OS you still need to install all your apps like Office IMing apps a real browser and e-mail client and anything else you want to use. Now lets look on Linux all you need to do in the simple distros is pop in the CD install setup acconts, update the system and your good to go.

We thought that it would make it look like the Soviets won the war and not the US. In fact many of the leaders in Japan were considering surrendering but would not surrender unconditionally like we wanted, they wanted to be able to keep there emperor who they viewed as God like. Many also believe that it was a race thing, many people hated the Japanese which is one of the reasons why we had interment camps for them. Now you go get your facts please.

I did not expect the graphics to be this good. The stylus is a great addition and is useful in many games, in goldeneye you use it like you would a mouse when playing a FPS on your computer. Even when playing a game that dosnt use the stylus it uses the extra screen to display something useful like a map. We originally looked at the PSP saw it has no games that we liked and very few if any in the future. Most of them are sports games and ports of PS2 games not to mention the price of it! What it comes down to is that Nintendo made sure the DS had good games and as others have said Sony just ported PS2 games.
