    1. Honest citizen's car is stolen, has device in it.
    2. Citizen report to police.

      maybe a few hours after it has been stolen?

    3. Police stop the car.

      The device is already in the trashcan, replaced with another one.

    I agree, and there is a reason for those red lights on the rear of the car... Brakes don't have to be stepped on violently, but merely touched lightly. It is better to take someone bumbing into your tail than to have a race with the merging car.

    However, I also must admit that going past speedlimit is sometimes the saviour.

    Note: I drive in very easy and light traffic, though sometimes it is very slippery around here.

    i used it today for a couple hours, and had three crashes in that time.

    It is normal to boot up your computer a couple of times during installation.

    ..not necessarily "funny", but a joke anyway.

    Almost modded it as "overrated", as I see your point, but hey - I want to reply this.

    Do you see Linux as your community, guarded by thick-bearded philosophers? Is linux an OpenSource-minded-only-OS? Is no "microsoftian citizen" allowed in your [linuxian] world?

    Otherwise I agree with you. Having funny comments instead of constructive ones brings no more value to people asking slashdot.

    Are these threads supposed to branch off topic? Is any comment, mentioning slashdot rules or moderation guidelines actually a meta-comment? Shouldn't they be modded out altogether, as so many sigs tend to manipulate moderators' mind...?
