Hopefully you don't live an an area where you are short on options, otherwise RUN. We ran into a vet very much like you are talking about. I won't go into the details of the $2000 fart when we though our dog was dying and we took him in OVERNIGHT, they gave her pepcid ac.. Our new vet just told us the dog needed to lose weight, got us on a great food to help do that along with our own being careful to not supplement with treats/dinner scraps, no such issue for years now. What was worse, it is like you said, you could feel you were being taken, almost massaged, their bent was on herbal everything, they acted like every animal needs its concoction of suppliments. Right after our first visit we started getting emails from their list pushing all of that, including the standard scams of small dog teeth cleaning, basically everything they could think of to make a penny.

Everytime I see something like this it just makes me sad. I knew a couple of people who worked for Sun. It was always a pleasure to deal with them and they seemed, HAPPY. More and more it seems like everyone everywhere has something to grump about. Attack others, don't focus on your own products, win by any means, not by just being the best.. Kind of getting sick of it.

I read about Fuse support being added before now, but I wondered if anyone has setup Gluster with FreeBSD since then? I am very interested in the combo of ZFS and Gluster, but up until now it seemed like only Centos/RHE were the options and like another poster said, ZFS on Linux has more in the way of potential licence issues and other tech limitations. But in the reverse, Gluster on FreeBSD is still "weird"

These were my exact thoughts also. I love games, but it scares the hell out of me that people seem to be loosing more and more of a connection with real life... And to make something like this a prioraty? How about just banning the fuckers for good and moving on to something that is big and metal(at least some these days) and can kill people for real.

You deserve this, even though you can't think clearly or learn anything except via your own tiny bubble of anecdotal evidence. This, in fact, ends up being the same thing you accuse others of and then claim they don't deserve what you do.

Of all of the somewhat complex replies, this one, to me, rings the most true from my own experence. I think it is still more complex, sure there are other factors, but this sort of excessive flexablity has to be a major factor. It makes sense to that people running projects do have the additude that a class is not the same as a pump being shipped from Texas. People know it will cost money to change anything about that pump, its shipping date, monitoring sensors, anything at all.

I would really like to know. I get big, I get complex, interconnections between this API and that, but frankly people do that stuff every day. Building an aircraft carrier is pretty complex too and they might go over on costs etc, but the end result seems to work pretty well. How is that doable when software projects like this seem almost doomed to fail?

Socialism=whatever is bad or good these days ranging from giving away things to people who clearly don't deserve it, to punishing everyone who ever earned a living, to the answer to all of the world's problems. Why can't we just start talking about citizenship and social RESPONSIBILITY and what those mean. We are all part of a community that no matter how fucking smart or capable we are, we depend on... #1 for me, gem colors, it seemed like a great idea, but I find that it is hard as hell to get the combo you want in an item you NEED. The links are easy to move around, but the gem colors seem limited by the type of item, so you can easily waste chances with dups several times before you get what you want. I find that very frusterating and not adding anything to the game.
