I think that you may be barking up the wrong tree on this one. While yes i would agree that Moto did not help Apples cause in the least bit, Apple did have a very large part in the design of the powerpc chip line. It is also true that Moto did not much care about PCs and why would they? Apple made up a very small about of sales for Moto. Enbedded was were the money was at and were it continues to be. I know that those who loves Apple find it hard to beleive that there is something that could be better then spending all their money making Power PC chips, but I would argue that money would be better spend on something that has a reasonable share of the market.
Im sure most of you will claim that under no condition will you shop at best buy.
Having said that. Im sure while you were in there last you would have noticed that Macs are taking over. Its Mac everything.
iPods,iMacs,G5,G4, ect...
There is even a seperate software section now.
I was just currious if you guys think that the new arrangement with best buy is going to help Mac buy some market share.
The sales people tell me they are selling like hotcakes.
Personally i would love to see mac gain some share...then let the clones in.
Interesting view, but i disagree. I dont know how many of you ride jet ski's(see stand up type), but I started riding 2 years ago and have loved it ever since. The day following my first session on the ski i was so soar I could hardly move at all. Now keep in mind that I am a pretty active person. I snowboard 3 times a week in winter.(live down the road from a place) and play volleyball twice a week all year on top of my daily workout. I used muscles I didnt know I had. After a summer of running that ski which is heavy I was a noticably stronger and bigger in the arms. It takes a lot more work then you think it does to man handle a machine. It's not the freakin "rascle scooter" man.
Sounds like Rubbish to me. I seriously doubt a CEO or a compaines arrogance can harm a company. Did I mention that I work for Motorola so I know what I'm saying.
We are finally starting to see real progress in the area of hydrogen development. If we could get fuell cells cheap enough, I believe a distibuted power system would be the way to go. I for one would love to get out from under the power companies.
here is a link to the story. Being new to this I dont know how to embed the link so here you go.

Seriously. Who gives a crap about what NASA's next "space plane" is. And NO this is not trolling.
As I sit here eating my brownie I am forced to ponder the meaning of NASA's existence. (Brownies do that to me) I try and I try to see the good they have done in the last 10 years and I'm not to sure that I see it. These guys spend and spend my money and I have failed to see and dividends. I don't know about the rest of you, but I prefer to invest in something that shows a return. I do not like to throw my money away just because something sounds neat.
Lets think about this. NASA will spend several Billion and a replacement for the shuttle which is should have been replaced 10 years ago. Plus we are talking several years to come up with then build a replacement.
Now look at the X-price guys. They are spending a fraction of both the time and the money and send a rocket up to "almost space" and doing it again within two weeks. Whats the turn around on the shuttle? 2 months?
Granted I would concede that getting into real space takes much more power and therefore would be much harder, but still, it just goes to show that a huge, MASSIVE governmental agency is not able to do things as cheap or as fast and someone who stands to profit.
Then again...it may be the brownie talking.
While it's true you can agrue that we don't "need" faster processors much in the same way that we don't need a better artificial heart when the ones we have kind of work now. Besides only like.5% of the people need them!
I will no longer desire a faster machine when there is no wait time to do what I want to do.
I can recall a time when I would never need more then my giant 20meg HD with my first 286.
Often times wants outway the "needs"
NO NO and NO.
First Verizon is on a CDMA network. TDMA is more like GSM then it is like CDMA.
Bandwitdh will greatly saved do to the nature of how CDMA works. It is not a direct connection that is true. This is why they can put on more users. CDMA basically stacks users on the same channel and changes the power level rapidly depending on several factors. As the the combined power becomes to great thats when users are dropped. This is why people who mess with their phones by phasing to max power are kicked off towers...you are causing many other people to drop a call.
Verizon's push to talk is a software feature of a phone. We have not changed the hardware at all except for adding the speaker and omni mic. When you PTT someone you are in fact making a very short call.
And NO people its not VoIP. IT's a radio!! Its just a different mod scheme.
You seems to be a little confused about your technologies. GSM does not radiate at a higher power then CDMA. Both phones are normally phased between 24 and 27dbm. As far as what get "into" your head..GSM has an 8 to 1 crest factor while CDMA has a 1 to 1 crest factor. Based on that alone CDMA normally will put more radiation into your head. Meaning give you and higher SAR number which is measured in mV/gram.
Although the main factor is the physical shape of the phone. i.e. flip phones have lower SAR then a non-flip.
CDMA does not have better range then GSM. They are about the same. You have better range with your phone because CDMA phones normally have Analog built into them. I happen to work for a very large American phone company and I would rather see them use GSM. There is a much higher profit margin on GSM them CDMA. Plus you can use the same platform to upgrade to WCDMA which is based on GSM. (I know it doesn't make sence). This way we don't have to pay qualcom for every damn phone we sell. Plus there are some real issues with the CDMA chipset.
As far as whom gets the business. If we did all the work to saddam out of there then we should get the first chance at the business. Little bitch france and germany wants to piss and moan about the war, but they are more then happy to make a profit after out boys do the dieing. I say FUCK YOU france and Germany. US and UK will get the rewards for what they are doing.
Where the hell are they going to put all those freakin DVD's?
Think about how many times blockbuster rents Spiderman of other big name videos? They would have to build a huge warehouse onsite just for their older movies.
Don't worry geeks...this will go about as fas as buying your food store stuff over the internet.
I was running out of stuff to search for on kazaa. :)

If this guy IS getting laid more then you..I'm glad I beat you up in high school.
I think it's safe to say that he is not getting laid to often...cuz damn.

Oh Crap
At least you will always remember that you have a brain tumor..so you'd have that going for you, which is nice.
