    That is interesting, but I have Spyro III, and I had no problems on my modded PS1.

    I use my mod chip to play japanese games that NEVER came out in the US, like Zeus: Carnage Heart Second.

    If your monitor is set to a slow 85Hz, then getting more than 85FPS is indeed a waste. But, 100+ Hz on both montior and game would be optimal. Just because YOU can't see it, doesn't mean that it doesn't irratate some of us.

    And, for your comment that standard movies are fast enough, I CANNOT go to movie theaters because of their slow frame rate. 100+ Hz would be better, or just project it through an LCD projector.

    Well, my trs-80 Model 100 gets about 25 hours to a set of batteries, and if you run out, you can just buy a 4 new AAs.
    And for durable, it doesn't have any running parts, and is still running strong 20 years later.

    That is not true either. My phone at home has a battery slot in the base, and can run for about half an hour after being disconnected from power.

    No, that is just the google account. Gmail is different. That is used to login to gmail, but doesn't create a gmail account.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but "shots fired, which shot from which player hits you, who you've hit, hit percentages, GPS position and bearing tracking, et cetera" sounds FREAKING expensive. In fact, I would be surprised if the MILES gear has all of that.

    when you suck the air out of this, generally called a "bean bag", it takes the current shape, and holds it really well. that is why it is so comfortable, and used on patients on a strecher.

    I think that putting these around joints would work pretty well, as they are already used for medical purposes, and to imobilize people at that. It would not hurt, unless it frezzes you up as you are moving, so a sound and gradual change would work well. Maybe a vibrator in there to also let the person know where they have been shot too. But, that is getting bulky and expensive.

    They SHOULD rate it by the voltage you would get in the cabin outlet, be it a cigarette lighter, or a new lighter.
    If instead, they have a 120 volt outlet in the cabin of the car, then they should rate it by the voltage in the power lines in the car, and not off the alternator.
    Maybe the marketing people are using an excel spreadsheet with a rand() or two in there, and that is where the numbers are coming from...

    I am sorry but your test is already biased against windows, and not due to how you calculate money:

    Create 5 users

    Log in as one of the users and complete the following tasks

    that would be good, but not very feasable in windows. Realistically, it would be great if people did that when they install the OS, but realistically it doesn't, and especially if the OS came with the computer.

    Aside from the trouble of digging through the rocky mountains, your tunned would probably run about 2 miles under my house, and bedrock starts at 0-4 feet.

    That, and you would connect 2 points, with no option for me to get on or off in, say, denver.

    As I recall, the crusing speed of the SR-71 was not far from it's top speed. It is not like it could hit (more) afterburners and quickly go up to mach 5.
    That, and that if the cooling system of the SR-71 failed, the pilot could bake a cake on his lap does not help much. And that is just 1 or 2 people at mach 3, much less 100 at mach 5 or 7.

    You didn't see the bug in IE that allows an IMAGE to execute arbitrary code?
    It may be slow and SHOULD work, but microsoft can screw anything up.

    Yes, but requiring that a user be able to write to program files kind of reduces their ability to run as a non-privelaged user, right?
    The best place for configuration files and data files is in the users directory, possibly with defaults in the Application directory that can be read.

    100 Hz television? I need to get myself one of those. I cannot be in the room with a monitor running at less than 75 Hz, and hate using a Computer at less than 85 Hz.

    Towards the end of TLoR:TRTK, I couldn't look at the screen because of the flashing of the screen. And when it faded to white, I swore.

    I HATE this: they say 5x more RAM, but actually, it has the SAME amount of ram. It has more Flash ROM, but that is not nearly as usefull as pure ram.

    Like on the 83+ compared to the 83, the 83+ actually has LESS memory than the 83, not more.

    Sheesh.
