  1. Mac Mini will outsell that on Athlon 64 SFF With PCI Express Reviewed · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Mac mini will still outsell that. Compare "Mac Mini" to "Shuttle's new XPC SN25P". "Mac Mini" is a memorable name. Shuttle's thing is impossible to remember. Think of this scenario: P1: Dude, I found this cool mini pc. P2: What's it called? P1: I can't remember. I'll find that site again and send you an email later. ... P1 forgets. Scenario 2: P1: Dude, I found this cool mini pc. P2: What's it called? P1: Mac Mini. P2: I'll check it out.

  2. Re:No way... on Should the UN Replace ICANN? · · Score: 1

I concur. The Internet is international, and using an international organization for assigning for assigning names makes sense, but the UN, unfortunately, cannot stop genocide, like you said. The problem with UN is that it is a confederacy, and confederacies don't work. We had a confederacy in this country for 10 years until a few rebellions resulted in the creation of a federacy. The UN would be a very efficient government if they restructure it into a federacy. Until then, NO to UN. They ICANN might be corrupt, but at least it works.

  3. My Future Console on Inside the Games Machines of the Future · · Score: 2, Insightful

The article is pure speculation. They have no way of knowing exactly what the future will bring. Will the XBOX have a cell processor, or will it have a standard one? They don't know, neiether do I, but judging from the past, it will probably have a standard one; they chose PIII last time. While I own a XBOX now, my next system will probably be Playstation 3 because Microsoft is too draconian with their hardware, especially with XBOX Live and mod chips. I love XBMC, and I need that chip to run it. I'm aware that you can turn the chip off, but if you forget to turn it off, the XBOX gets banned.

Is it possible that knowing how to drive a car, wire a plug, tell right from left, and other banal things that we do require a ton of processing power? Since he cannot do these things, all that processing power goes to processing numbers and memorising words.

It we would be cool if on a math test we cold forget our ability to drive cars and concentrate on processing numbers.

  14. Experiments During the Launch? on NASA Plans Discovery Launch May 15 · · Score: 1

More importantly, are they being efficient about this launch? It is a waste of resources if they launch just to see if they can bring it back in one piece without another crew dying. I hope that they plan to do some important experiments up there. The article didn't say anything about experiments. Also, from now on, all the data collected up there should be transmitted to earth before landing. They lost a large portion when Columbia was lost.

Personally, why I love space, I don't like NASA. I think that it is a waste of money. The Mars rovers mission is the most successful since the moon landings. I hope that someone can destroy the bureaucracy and politics. A lot of brain power is lost.
