That could service my needs better but its just not as portable.

The biggest issue for me is the number of rude and inconsiderate people out there these days. Talking in movies, letting their kids run wild and most annoying of all, people who laugh at everything.

I went to see the last Star Trek movie and this 'lady' (hard to tell sometimes in low light) would cackle at everything Data said. It was this every annoying, extremely loud laugh.

You can ask people to stop talking, etc... but if they are the type that consciously do these things in a theature then they quite frankly couldn't give a rat's ass what you think. So unless your willing to get in a fight, move to another seat (most times not possible) then you have to live with it. My solution, 51" TV and nice sound system.

I would think that the Targus would be more comfortable for longer trips since it has that belly strap which helps take the load off your shoulders. I've had it for over a year and it still looks as good as the day I received it. I would have to say that it appears to be very well made. However, if I had to pay for a backpack i'd still be using my el'cheapo backpack I got at a flea market.

So that extra space is either useless or can be used for other purposes such as backups or carrying around important files (like your resume). Personally I think its an excellent idea...

I have a 2 meg digital camera and have taken about 7k pictures of the past couple of years.. Thats still less than 10 gigs of space. With this device I could carry around all my music and picture files with room to grow.

Alot of family members don't have computers and since we don't print pictures anymore it would be nice to show them a few pics when were visiting. Or even let them record it to their VHS so they can keep a copy.

Even to this day I get the urge to play and have to force myself not to resubscribe. If thats not an addiction I don't know what is.

I wish I had a link to an article I once read that was prepared by a psychology student which compared MMORPGS to positive re-enforcement (or some such..) It made perfect sense as to why these games are addictive and why companies design them that way.

The new Kodaks actually have decent lenses in them and the colors are far better than the canon. Like I said, i'm far from a professional but I returned the canon's and sony's I tried and settled on another kodak. I find this fairly amusing: In the USA the right to keep and bear arms is not associated with crime control. It is State Control. The reason the State wants gun control is it is getting predatory. It must be clear to all that removing the quills from porcupines does not enhance the safety of porcupines. It only favors the predators. This is also true regards the State. (State = Nation for those who cannot read the dictionary) Realistically now, do you think you even stand a chance of standing up to your government? There are 2 things you fail to understand, most people lack the cohones to stand up to government by using force and 2, you'd get quashed by the police state so fast you wouldn't have time to reload.

What your saying is all nice in theory but as we have seen in many countries around the world you don't stand a chance. Once a country crosses the line they rarely go back without outside intervention.

What it comes down to is that the US culture is obsessed with guns. How else do you explain the number of homocides and gun related crimes as compared to places like Canada, Britian and other European countries?

What we see in the US is when an arms race goes bad. A criminal gets a gun for a crime, so homeowners start buying guns, so more criminals get guns, then other criminals get guns because other criminals have guns and so on. I'd hate to see what would have happened if the cold war went bad.
