  1. Tin Foil Hattery on Federal CIO Kundra Takes Leave of Absence After Woes · · Score: 1

Here's a fact: ALL politicians are corrupt.

Now, here's a theory of mine: Some are more corrupt that others, and there's never been an effective way to weed them out. Everyone was corrupt, that much was understood, but how badly was never clear. And it was too dangerous to try and figure it out. Just ask Paul Wellstone. about how much luck he had with that.

Even worse, some of those more-corrupt bastards are in your OWN party. Nominating them to any position puts you in jeopardy, and once again, your plane could end up suddenly taking a nosedive during a "routine" landing.

How to eliminate them without slitting your own throat?

Theory: establish a culture of rigorous honesty and total accountability. Make it clear that anyone selected is going to be examined with a fine-toothed comb. Show the people exactly how you're doing it, and more importantly, demand the same from the average citizens your campaign and administration is using for volunteers.

Now start nominating people you want to eliminate.

You know they're all corrupt? Now you can find out just how bad without slitting your own throat.

Theory: your not-so-bad enemies and just plain neutral associates see the writing on the wall and become very loyal to your policies, lest they "get nominated" and destroyed. /Tin Foil Hat

If it were, we wouldn't be finding out about this corruption until two years into their term, just like any other democrat. (Republicans don't get exposed until after they leave office, or piss off too many constituents.)

So yes, this IS a very big change from the way things used to be.

The PirateBay isn't illegal, and the authorities know it. They're just suing in court to distract people and force the PirateBay to waste time and money.

In the meantime, various agencies have been going to the pirate bay and clicking on those torrents. And, just like the owners of the PirateBay have maintained all along, those agencies get routed through the tubes to the purveyors of the indexed content.

So. They click on enough links, put all the listed IP addresses together, figure out which ones show up the MOST, then follow the connections to the source.

The PirateBay is totally legit, but if you take away the material at the end of the "index card", then it won't matter.

Not just no, but "F$CK NO!" Do NOT listen to the idiots who are telling you, "Anyone who'd believe this isn't worth working for." Screw that. The people you DO want to work for ARE reading Google, MySpace, Facebook and everything else.

You're getting into the "Green" industry, and they're highly connected to the internet, and set to become even more connected. Add to the fact that some of the best employers might require you to go through an SSBI to get a security clearance (DOE), and this could really mess you up.

Should I attempt to set up my own site that would steal the top Google search from this blog posting?

YES! Yes, you want to do everything you can to make sure YOUR name appears at the top of Google. But you can't cheat, and you need to be aware of the "Streisand Effect". If you complain/bitch/fight too loudly, you'll get the reverse effect, and everyone will be flocking to the bad guy's site. That will drive Google's ranking up ahead of yours.
