The gamecube AND the xbox where better machines with 1/8th that games, hell at one point the Xbox was even cheaper than the PS2 and the GQ remains cheaper than BOTH of them. But sony still won. And no you cant go by first out of the starting box is the winner. Dreamcast was first and they lost despite ALSO being better than the PS2, hell people didnt think Sega would ever die until the dreamcast came out.
Honestly there seems to be a awful lot of speculation about this but the truth is, no one knows jack about the PS3. Sonys keeping their cards as tight to the chest as Nintendo is to the point that even if it is easier to program for the 360 (and it was easier to program for the original than it was to program for the PS2 if you remember) it doesnt mean that the Xbox will win. They have just as many flaws as the PS3 does and some of them are just as critical (no true backwards compatability is a huge killer, that right there is what sold me on the PS2 and why I am buying the PS3 and Revolution, I have a HUGE library of games and I am not one to have 9 machines to play them) Likewise they have this whole fake sellout issue, which no offence but right there as a gamer makes me NOT want to play the 360. Its one thing to make a lot of them and sell out, its another to make almost none of them. I would rather wait till the price drops later, especially since there are still no real hit games comming out for the 360 on launch and everyone knows the good games dont come out till well after the developers get a grasp on the new systems and their abilitys which can be months after they are released.

Nice thing about FFXIs event is that it very much takes on the childlike spirit of the holiday, you have to trade candy to get special treats which are items, this years big item is a pitchfork that when in costume makes you run 12% faster in towns.
Nothing really, they just cant go to the new areas. I know FFXI has handled it so that not only do you not have to have the expansion to play the game, but that the storys inolved with the expansions hint to but dont hold their weight to the other ones, so that while you would get a fuller story if you owned BOTH Zilart and CoP, you dont need Zilart to play CoP.
A great indication of this is if you do make it past the promivion missions in CoP and talk to the Duke in Jeuno, there the Duke is away. To those playing CoP without doing Zilart it doesnt mean much but to those who have played both you know the Duke is infact dead, killed by your own hand when he and his brother reveal themselves to be the evil Zilart race of pre-Vana'Diel.
I know with FFXI though that while you couldnt go to certain new areas, you can get items FROM those areas through selling and trading.

Honestly HaloII was Halo I to me, both FPS that have been overdone.
Graphic Novels are also considered Comics, since most US ones are infact rereleases of multiple book comic series.
The use of Manga, while pissing off the older generation is proper, as the US use of manga isnt even right in japanese terms (all comics, US/JP/or even KO is considered Manga in japan, just like Anime in japan means all animation, including disney, WB and the like)
and yeah its for marketing terms, cause honestly who really cares if certain books say manga, and certain books say graphic novels yet they all have the same style. Better to go with the term most readers know. Plus what would you call those comics who are drawn by japanese artists yet writen by americans (there are quite a few out there)

Is the manufacturing and design industry as stuck in a rut as the Graphic Design industry is with Quark? I mean seriously, there are so many better products out there that are cheaper, less buggy, and most importantly dont require a bloodsample of your entire production staff and 1 million dollars in cash to run, why do people STILL use this POS?
Honestly I thought at this point Auto would have already burried its self so deep into adding more junk onto the same original program that they would just fade away into nothing while VectorWorks and other programs took center stage, I certainly didnt see them buying out THE best comercial 3D program out there let alone buying it out for really what amounts to chump change and is certainly 1/8th what I expected.
Anyone religious enough to be offended by such a ad likely doesnt play a PS2 to begin with. Honestly I find it hilarious but then I often find things the catholic church gets bent over to be so since I despise them with a "passion" being a former catholic myself.

So now the RIAA is stuck having to meet the demands of Apple, or kill a source of income that while they hate, also are too greedy to ignore because quite simply its pure profit, they dont encode the tracks they dont have to manufacture anything, hell if you really look at the way the ink really is, they dont even pay to record ANYTHING the artist did since they charge the artist in the end on most contracts.
b) The port WILL be a upgrade, while the graphics will be the PCs version, the draw distance is being doubled
c) For a game thats not very popular, its still the third largest MMO in the US, second if you ignore guildwars which most people dont consider a MMO.
and d) it means that people are becoming serious about playing MMOs on these systems, something that in truth has lended its self better to playing like a traditional RPG rather than how Ultima and EQ got started. It also paves the way for hints that Blizzard is ALSO thinking about doing it.
ahh but the thing is Apple already told the RIAA to fuck off, so basically they are going to try to get Microsoft on board to say "well we dont need Apple, we can use Microsoft and everyone will flock to them instead" under the mistaken belief its the music, and not the price thats driving the market.

that is a new term, Manga was the term used up until 3 years ago. Sorta like how Manga was a niche term up until recently.
