    This exactly. The powers that be want another establishment tool who will do their bidding. You may have seen it reported that some wealthy donors are simultaneously supporting Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton, while the media ignores Bernie Sanders and dispariages Donald Trump every chance they get. I predict that as Bush and Clinton's campaigns appear to be sagging, the big money is going to go to Joe Biden and Marco Rubio - basically, anyone but Sanders and Trump.

    Thank you. This needs to be screamed from the rooftops. I am pleased to tell you folks that both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have announced their opposition to this monstrosity. Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are both in the tank for the TPP, as is President Obama. I just wish that this issue could get the attention it needs.

    You might enjoy reading "The Millionaire Next Door", by Thomas Stanley. He writes about his study of wealthy people and what they are like. He emphasizes that many of them avoid flaunting their wealth and more or less blend in with their neighbors. Best of luck to you.

    Okay, I have this crazy notion. If Microsoft believes that software that is integrated with the cloud is the future, why don't they publish an API where anyone who wants can provide that service. If I understand correctly, Elon Musk has published information about how to make a charging station compatible with his Tesla cars and anyone with the resources is encouraged to do so. Likewise, why doesn't Microsoft allow us to create our own "cloud" that serves our purposes. (It's a rhetorical question; we know the answer.)

    I'm an American here. In what context is the UK's regulation permitting copying of CDs ruled to be unlawful. I haven't read TFA yet, but it sounds like they're saying that this rule is at the national level. Is there some supranational organization that prohibits this or something along those lines?

    You wouldn't post someone's comment on your web page without escaping it first, would you?

    So then when should your code that does division not check that its inputs are valid?

    Do bear in mind that when you see "trans fat" content labeled on products, they are allowed to round to the nearest gram. It is not unheard of to see companies advertise that their product contains "0g trans fat" per serving. This is careful wordsmithing when it would be outright fraud to claim that the product is "trans fat free"

    It's not so much Javascript itself that sucks, but the document object model that it interacts with that sucks.

    For example, class names that are hyphen separated in CSS are camelCased in the DOM. WTF???

    Continuing on, there a guy named James Huntington who wrote a book titled "Work's New Age" where he ponders the future of humanity where not everyone can have a "job" as we know it.

    He suggested a number of different futures (none resembling the future you seem to have in mind). In one of these futures, the 99% revert to subsistence agriculture. It's an interesting idea to contemplate. I suppose that if such were to happen, the new farmers would eventually produce something valuable that the 1% want, and we'd be back to square 1.

    Okay, as long as we're in conspiracy theory land, I'll bite.

    What route do you expect the 1% to take to eliminating the surplus population? Will they do it Adolph HItler style, with purpose built facilities where the 99% will be rounded up and exterminated? Will they do it Joseph Stalin style and simply deprive the vast population of food and other needed necessities?

    It seems more probable that in a future dystopia, they might claim the best resources for themselves, set up their own communities with heavily armed guards, and live the good life while the masses eat one another to survive.

    First of all, the largest deficit during the Bush Presidency was about 500 billion. The largest during the Obama Presidency (so far) is about 1500 billion.

    Second, I am still royally pissed at Bush for blowing up the deficit to 500 billion.

    "Not a match for culture" is a generic bullshit excuse they give because they don't want to give a reason. They have no business reason to give you a reason not to hire you and plenty of legal reasons to not give you a reason (you might sue them claiming that they denied you employment for an illegal reason).

    I once gave a five-hour interview to a small American company where the entire team was English-speaking Americans and received a one sentence rejection from them telling me that I didn't fit their culture. Never again! If a company wants more than a few hours of my time for an interview, they have to pay for it!

    Although mercury has not been shown to cause autism, I would like to point out that injecting something into your body does not necessarily have the same effect as eating it.

    I hate Zuckerberg as much as any other developer, but your suggestion wouldn't work because it would not be practical for law enforcement to verify that a particular unemployed citizen who claims to have the desired skill set actually has the desired skill set.

    Hard to grow a bunch of humans with a gene deletion, wait until they're old, euthanize them and then slice them up for analysis. Even if you did that with lawyers and politicians, you'd have to wait an awful long time to get any results.

    I must say, if you did that with enough lawyers and politicians, it might make research easier for generations to come!
