Right- if the guy gives you the bike and you use it- you are not the one that is going to be charged with theft. So you may have bad karma... I am not saying you should steal from people-- but because you use a stolen bike that does not make you a thief.
People are pretty ignorant when it comes to piracy and theft... if you find a copy of Halo 2 on the street and start making copies and selling them... that is piracy. If you work in Burger King and take a pickle and eat it from their tray- that is theft.
If you find leaked beta software on the net that is neither piracy nor is it theft- it is sloppy security within the company making it.
do you think this is 1980 or something?...
Backups are illegal!! You keep up this behavior and I guarantee a squad of psychiatrists will lobotomize you for your anti-social behavior.
I think one thing I would also do is turn off all the menu's in IE... so that when this user starts using IE it just basically becomes a button-less, address-bar-less windows update terminal.
The reason why that can't happen is that Black market, grey market and other illegal activities are a large chunk of the economy that making digitally-traceable money would end up hurting the US... Especially when it comes to the US dollar being used as an international trade currency.
Here are the new Canadian 20$ bills. the site has some info on the new security features on this bill- there are also new 100$ bills, the only thing missing is new $50 bills.
I am a little unsure if I want to re-subscribe to.mac... I do have a gmail account, but It doesn't offer IMAP or POP3 support. I really don't know of any free web-storage companies but it does seem that spymac does offers a better online web-hosting package... Also the.mac only software is one incentive to stick with.mac (you never know what they may release in the future).
I guess like most people I will end up re-subscribing to.mac just so I don't have to go through the trauma of changing habits (or e-mail addresses).
I agree, slashdot's usefulness is limited by the slashdot effect. They could cache the page and leave the banner ads html in place- then send a notice to the site informing them they are in Slashdot's cache and if you wish to update your article at all here is a user ID and password to alter your cache- this admin account could also feature viewing statistics so that the website author could incorporate into his or her own and not have to worry about losing revenue. In reality, chances are Slashdot neither has the resources or the money to create this cache or hire people to maintain it.
Open Letter to Micr0$haft,
I had a basement which smelt, and my brother would lock me in and yell at me saying: "It's cooooooooming..... It's cooooooooming to get you.......". And there I stood: alone in the dark, unknown terrors approaching, armed only with a bucket of water. This is exactly like Windows.
I can't read your code because it is spaghetti code.
Your "GDI Scanning Tool" is worse than useless.

they aren't exactly new, but in the race to make the worlds ugliest currency- I think Australia is winning by far
