    I'm in the same "dilemma" of choosing a simple CMS to a small newspaper from my city.
    I used drupal in other site tried to use the 'nukes' and similars and a lot of others.
    I very biased to use Wordpress because it's simple to users, but I prefer a wiki who I think is much better than any CMS.
    btw: textpattern.com is a good choice too.

    They are better seen today, because people have a choice when prices of petrol are high, they can use alcool and vice versa.

    I don't have a dual powered car, but I'm live in south of Brazil where the temperatures are relatively low in winter (like today, zero degrees) and I don't hear my friends complaining against alcohol cars.

    Actually it is more like cachasa (sp?), the cane based liquor. I guess it is rum. I don't drink so I really don't know.

    I'm brazilian, it's spelled cachaça with cedilla and sounds like S.

    They smells better than gas. Also to note is the fact that now a large portion of cars leave the factory with dual power engines which work with any combination of gas and ethanol.

    On the other side, this could be a good thing to Linux. Would be easier to switch from Windows if the games are out of PC and the lack of good games could not be used as excuses to don't use linux at home.

    I'm brazilian, and almost all computers sold to people's home use come with a pirated Windows and Office.

    IMHO, their phones are the most expensive with less features. I Have an 3520, its software is full of bugs and the battery begin to fail in less than a year. When I buy, I want try to run some java midlets but I could never to donwload an midlet to it. (ok, its tmda)
    My friends have some other's brands phone like motorolla in the same price range who had lots more features.
    My next phone will not be Nokia.

    In brasil, X-Terminals are hard to find and more expensive than monitors and keyboards.

    There is an interesting effect about pirated copies. Whenever the "starter" edition is cheap, the trend is to pirate the most expensive, because they are free at all.
    For example, there is the Microsoft Works that is called the starter version of Office by some retailers, but I saw very few copies around.

    They will not stop growing, they just will grow less than 10 percent. In mostly other business this is a very good number.

    As a south american geek i have to say that i have never meet someone who use Conectiva....


    Correct, Conectiva was the most popular distro in BRAZIL.

    Now Kurumin , a nice, small (just 180Mb download), easy installation, Knoppix/KDE based distribution is taking the first place, acording some downloads sites.

    To clarify, I mean that DOS is a step backward
    Lindos suggests DOS and OS, but I don't see as a backward. Mostly of actual generation don't ever know about existence of DOS.
    And, in portuguese, italian and (I think) spanish? Lindo(s) means "pretty".

    This debate is very funny...
    To terraform mars would be invested a trilion dolars and take 100 years, and nobody can or want pay to do it now.
    To discover life there are various scientists working hard.
    I believe we will have the answer to life question in 10-20 years at last.

    After that, terraform discussion can start. Or maybe we will discuting a earth-mars elevator.. :)

    No doubt the study is bad.
    The majority of attacks are to Linux because the majority of servers are Linux based.
    Just like all viruses are Windows based because Windows is in majority of desktops and is the first target.
