That's not true. My friend told me this too, so I proved him wrong. I'm using Nvidia 8762 and xorg 1:7.0.22 (debian testing). The trick to it is running the Nvidia script like this: sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run --x-module-path=/usr/lib/xorg/modules -n -N
I also compile it with gcc 4, not 4.1 because that's what I built my kernel with and patched it for suspend. The nvidia driver even behaves with hibernating.
The ads are like Google text ads. Not the kind that try to install spyware on your system. And speaking of Google, when you misstype a domain name, the search page looks just like a google one. Firefox used to do an "I'm Feeling Lucky" search when I didn't type in a full domain name, but now I'm just taken to a shitty Godaddy parked page.
Except Linux users typically do not run random executables, and are not easily tricked into running them. Windows by default hides the file extension and lets a program show whichever icon it wants. It's the oldest trick in the book.
Microsoft made the Genuine Advantage check optional at first, but it is now required for windows XP. They'll just be continuing the tradition with Vista which isn't a big surprise. What I wonder is if they'll leave it easily crackable like today's WGA check.
As a side note, I recently had an invalid WGA check on a machine I was working on. I noticed on the page that Microsoft will now sell you a valid key to make your pirated version of Windows legitimate. The problem with this is that buying a valid key for your pirated windows will not guarantee that you didn't install a system with a trojan or rootkit already on it. Since they're only selling license, you'll get no media to do a clean install. Bleh.
From the zynaddsubfx homepage: "Please don't use this program to make music that is against God and Jesus Christ. Realize that the only way to the Salvation is Jesus Christ. Please don't lose this chance and don't make others to lose it!"
The extension doesn't work with Firefox 1.0.7. I was enticed when I saw it in a comment earlier. Is there an easy way to upgrade to 1.5 in Ubuntu? I'm already using the universe repos.
Why not send your code and request to DVD Jon? Isn't releasing legally questionable code his specialty? He has the experience, the balls, and legal protection.
Yes, Jabber has had TLS/SSL support for a while. My connection to the server is encrypted via TLS/SSL and my actual chat to my woman is encrypted with gpg.
Since everyone is guessing where they get their numbers from, I'd thought I'd add mine: They have a free spyware scan on their site. They can tell where people are when they visit and scan. Their scan doesn't remove spyware by the way, just tells you what you have so that you'll by SpySweeper.
Why is he modded troll? It's fact that PETA condones violence for their cause. By definition, they ARE terrorists although it does sound a bit silly to call PETA a terrorist organization.
Jabber has built in anti spam. In order for me to talk to you, I have to ask you if I can, and then you have to tell me that it's OK.
Actually, that authorization only applies to presence. If you want to see if I'm online or read my away message, I have to authorize you to be able to see that, but we can still send messages back and fourth. I'm using psi, and don't see a way to block a contact. I sent you a message to one of your JID's, let me know if you get it;)
Right. In America, it's illegal to drive with headphones on, but if one talks on a hands-free cell-phone they are considerate of other people's safety. Where's the fucking logic in that?
It's true, here's a recording of the account:

If that's what you want, get Sirius or a Rio Karma.

Christian women are NOT good at sex.
"The stolen data, examined by Wired News, includes names, phone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses and internet IP addresses."
So it included the internet internet protocol addresses? I keep my internet IP address next to my PIN number at the ATM machine.

PETA is by definition a terrorist group.
Support of "extremists and terrorists"
Dictionairy.com definition of terrorism.

It's all about the Hamiltons baby!
He didn't come out of the closet on the Howard Stern Show, he announced it in an interview for Frontiers magazine. Oh myyyyyyyyyy.
"I've been thinking about retrofitting an iPod into my ass."
Been there, done that.

PETA's New Pro-Violence Promoter
What is PETA?

(and if you claim that isn't reason of intelligence, then I've got some deaf and mute people for you to meet).
You've got deaf and mute people? Where do you keep them?

Suicide fucking rules. Everybody should have the right to kill themselves. Especially emo kids.
