Sorry - in NZ we don't appear to have ever had "Fair Use" laws. Most people understand fair use though and I've never heard of an unfair prosecution here. Things are starting to get tighter (and sillier) though. I wouldn't be surprised if some equally silly las was being passed as I type.
With that many servers, why not name them after their street address (in the server room(s))? Then when one goes down on you, you'll be able to find it's physical location quickly.
My mistake - comment based on a different (less detailed) article. Thank you for your eloquent, light-hearted correction. I am pleased to see we agree on the principles of life.
I remember hearing years ago, that somewhere around 6 or 7 pico-seconds was where things started to get a bit wierd. This is getting close to that limit!
I think it's obvious that Sun's strategy HAS worked. Nobody uses M$Office any more - Star Office rules the roost & now Sun can afford to charge for it.
bit of a troll I admit, but a road I use every day is in the process of being upgraded. For a little over one million dollars, it is being widened a little (including a bridge). That million bucks (under a toll system) would need to be funded by maybe 5000 regular users (plus the others). Bear in mind that this is a minor improvement over a few km's and doesn't even cover resurfacing (let alone maintainence). If I had to fund the road I travel, private helicopter would start to look affordable.
and who pays for those less-often-travelled out-of-the-way but never-the-less beautiful roads to national parks etc. wanna see a $10000 toll to go thru a park?
perhaps Mars once orbited MUCH closer to the earth. Perhaps a close encounter with Mars caused the extinction of the dinosaurs & swung Mars off into a new orbit.
I just hope they can keep from PE-ing. This needs to be a common standard before it is hacked, otherwise it will just be another mildly useful storage medium.
never seen the die size, but the final product is half a metre per side and needs a special jig (not to mention 2 days training) to install.
Don't want any bent pins on those suckers!
It is easy enough to copy the entire CD to disk then alter an.ini file (rrwt32.ini from memory) so that you don't need the CD. This will save them from being scratched/broken/lost.

You'd actually trust the same people who enact laws like DMCA to fiddle around with the Constitution ... and expect things to come out rosier?
and people say that faith in an invisible God is wierd!
that every time I start to feel good about myself, someone shows how retarded I really am.
Computer Associates ... the M$ os the mainframe world last time I checked (very long time ago I admit).

Not only that, but it could have blown it's load 499.998 years ago and we wouldn't be any the wiser!
you want fries with that?

... washed down the sink? Unless we learn respect for life, we will all suffer the consequences.

For THE BEST National Anthem, check out New Zealand's!
Open Office will be the winner here then.

If/When they find signs of life on Mars, it will prove nothing. For starters, we have landed (well crashed) probes there.
And there is always the possibility it got blown there (from here) after a large volcanic eruption or meteor impact.
You're stareing again!

last time I checked, the KDE Calc could select/paste the same as most any X app.
checked out the price of some of those flash missiles lately? Percentage wise, it's not much different to shooting them down with a .22 rifle.

(You need to uncheck the read-only flag first)
more FUD than M$, no "real" facts in evidence and opinions from a-hole to breakfast.
... it does!
Drive like your life depends on it
pip pip ... except that the southern summer is when the hole appears. April to November might be night way way up north, but not down here.
