    I've had so many powersupplies dying on me that it's not even funny. What I want is a PSU that delivers the promised effect, for at least three years. That would be the day.

    Might be hard to benchmark that, so anybody got any tips for brands?

    I remember a story from a NSA contract worker.

    In the early days of Cray, he and many others were wondering how they could keep things running, considering that their official budgets only showed ten or so sales per year.

    Until he got the tour of the NSA computer plant, where they had a hall the size of two football fields, filled with Crays.

    Great news that industry leading Open Source companies like Red Hat take action against SCO's asinine campaign.

    Of course it's in Red Hat's business interest do something like this, but it's still a step in the right direction.

    iPhoto isn't all that great. I wish they would have a better thumbnail generator (one that would make nicely formatted html for your web galleries).

    Also, some of the filters are dog slow. And by dog, I mean as slow as a booting xp box.

    Other than that it's ok, but I haven't really seen the need for a manual for it.

    Well, in the US, beer is just another word for brown water with alcohol, it seems.

    I've yet to taste any American beer that has the least bit of flavour to it.

    No, not yet.

    The Centrino is missing essential floating point instructions (muls,mulu,adda,addq) which makes the floating point Ogg decoder choke.

    Since the integer Ogg decoder isn't yet finished, no Ogg on the Vaio yet.

    Most people would consider it a good thing to have more than two media companies in a country as large as the US.

    Mass media equals power. Concentration of power is bad.

    Don't forget that a diverse and critical media is one of the pilars of modern democracy.
