Perhaps we could give cash rewards to parents of students who excel in schools and thus make parents more likely to push their kids to do well in school
That leads to more overworked and overstressed people versus the current US system.
After The New York Times published an account [late in 2012] of a horrific rape against Alayna Macaluso in Steubenville, Ohio, an online vigilante campaign was started...the campaign targeted local officials who the vigilantes felt weren't prosecuting the rape investigation seriously because the alleged perpetrators were high school football players
In 2016, the vigilantes would have been given an imprimatur to destroy the town, as exemplified by the recent Stanford case.
The prevailing attitude at Stanford is that disputed consent only favors the woman, and that Turner's hometown must be made to pay for his actions.
If it was at a prestigious university, they'd not even need a rape case to destroy the person. Washington & Lee used Title IX to wreck someone's life.
The worst parts of it are that no crime occurred, that due process wasn't served, and that there was no legal charge - just straight intimidation.
Except that the Camry is a Japanese design with US assembly by individuals working for a foreign company.
The F-35 on the other hand, is a US design from the ground up - not a "let's translate the user manual" job like the Camry.
About the only message worth sending: Harden The Fuck Up (his words, not mine). They're from another well-known Australian that had more guts as a criminal than the entirety of the SJW population. One could probably add the following:
Chopper:..and this is Brianna Wu, a professional victim!
[Imitation Wu]: I'm transgender and that makes me special. Facts don't matter, since I can have my friends on Twitter call you a bigot!
Chopper: Here's a reply from the Abuse Department: Harden the fuck up.
In reply to an accusation against her, here are some of her SJW compatriots:

Consider these people defenders of harassment, especially given that they've threatened more than they've actually been threatened (aside from staged incidents, nil). Such defense is not maintaining civility, but to defend a logically indefensible narrative from criticism. Shutting it up or blocking it won't make the painful truth any less true.
Not if reasonable, SJW resistant, individuals (Cernovich comes to mind) have the financial clout to reclaim ground lost to harassers such as her, Chelsea van Valkenberg, and their enablers.
It'd be interesting to wake up and see them lose editorial control of places, courtesy new owners firing them for harassment. That is, harassment of the kind that they accuse of others but commit themselves.
I am not surprised that this thread went full SJW. They wouldn't have asked without the explicit assurance that softball non-answers would be published.
If the book hits on unions as hard as the reviewer seems to indicate, it appears the authors of want to go back to that time when they and their social circles were the only passengers. It just tells who they're aligned with. Same with the persons who moderated it (and supporting replies) Troll/Flamebait.
This nation is the poorer for going through the PATCO incident. As an exercise for those anti-union folk, explain why you use force, intimidation, and legal deception towards a non-union workplace.
They would rather just blame the lack of quality on unions and call it a day.
Sounds like Bill O'Reilly and his co-hosts have been drinking too much of this already.
Moderation -1 100% Overrated As well as whomever wanted to mod this down as well.
That would paint Google with the same brush. Excessively secretive, beholden to nondemocratic countries, and structured to withstand hostile takeover.
It'd be nice to see what happens when their stock is flattened (no multiclass shares - 1 share, 1 vote) thanks to some help from DC.
However, those practices stop when you object to them in any meaningful way (illegally built settlements, stirring the hornets nests around them) or encounter someone with a bad case of Checkpoint Syndrome. Yes, this means citizens as well.
I wonder what would happen if there was a Pollard affair at Google, would it be prosecuted?
"Titanic with FTL drive" Dr Who did just that.
How do we avoid the return of Luddites?
You don't. I agree that there are plenty of people that are not suited for current-day work.

Instead of straight basic income, you might want to consider something along the lines of a career buyout based on heavily optimistic projections.

Since Fiorina, the company has even destroyed itself.
Never mind that Ann Arbor is quite hilly.

The only people who will get something out of SAP are the consultants who get paid to "fix" it.
Either an honest mistake, or as many mistakes there could be, a deliberate error to identify potential participants.
The truth cuts close for Kasich supporters. Someone delivers a support for the facts and y'all modbomb them.

I wonder how much stock Israel has in Google(all divisions), and how much their US based interests(AIPAC, ADL, parts of New York) hold as well.

Apparently Slysoft needs to get that memo as well.
