IANAL, but in most countries if you are forced into a position where you feel incorrectly pressured to resign, and you do resign, that is still grounds for an unfair dismissal case. He was effectively fired by the comments that were presented to him.
However, I do agree with some people that it would have been a clearer argument if he waited longer for the situation to develop more and made proper recordings of phone calls "discussing his problematic situation".
Actually, no, I was thinking batteries. Capacitors between the batteries & car may make sense to make for a smoother power transition. Would be much easier to store these large charges in large batteries than large capacitors. Who knows how large the capacitors would have to be (and dangerous).
Well it's easier to handle with a car - there would be very large batteries at the "gas station" that would charge up and then release charge to your car. That will reduce some of the pressure on the local power drop.
I've heard that FastLane has a specific policy to not use their data for speeding tickets. There were a few tickets in the early days but due to the uproar, that practice was stopped.
Do you really know someone that got a ticket this way? If so, how recently and what speed were they going?
Sun has also said since that it is the biggest mistake they ever made with the Java brand. It would be so much "purer" for the Java brand if JavaScript was still called LiveScript.
I've been trying to setup at home with a wireless environment and I've managed to get the Linux side of things working but the damn residential gateway from Lucent won't talk to MediaOne via DHCP. Anyone got any ideas? I've searched in all the usual places (Deja etc) but to no avail.
Thanks,
Sean
dmg didn't claim to be an expert in UI design, just an extremely technical background. though NT admin and VB developing isn't exactly extremely technical either.
sure it can - serving static html pages. *but*, it sounds like he wants to serve streaming video and will need to run some serious codecs to compress it. newer pentium methinks.
C'mon, even my Mom could figure this one out.

Brings a whole new aspect to 'tonsil hockey'.
(Not sure if that phrase is used in the U.S. but in the UK/Ireland, it refers to french kissing).

Yeah, you're right. Only .EDU has restrictions on obtaining a domain...
Just what I was thinking. What are the rules on this and how well are they enforced?
/. closed or anything - just renamed. It makes sense to ensure .orgs really are non profit organizations...
