    If you are in position to place a tracker then you are in position to tail the suspect directly.

    There is no need to covertly on the spur of the moment require a tracker when no authority is around to sign off on your 'mission'.

    You don't want to be inside a solid shell upon impact with anything.
    The flimsy bags of mostly water will be squished on the inside.

    I would feel much better having the outer shell coated with a thick foam layer of increasing density (from aerogel on the outside to a dense fibre material inside.
    Absorb everything and stop things before they hit.
    Once you detect a hit, its a simple matter of turning on the sprinklers and the hole can be refilled.

    The wiimote is a bluetooth device and there are lots of people working on driver software for various operating systems.

    You can start at wiili.

    Investment cost is about £40 for the mote plus about £10 for the bluetooth dongle.

    I never used to either.
    Then one day my massive 256mb memory stick became corrupt because it hadn't finished copying.

    I now do it with every storage type device I use and I haven't had a problem since.

    Suppose I *did* pay for Vista.
    Suppose my current hardware is fast enough and has enough resources to run even the most demanding of applications.
    Suppose my current monitor can handle the resolutions required.
    Suppose I did have a hd-dvd drive and some movies.

    Imagine how pissed I would be if I couldn't watch them at native resolution because according to Microsoft I had the wrong connector.

    I want an Operating system, not a restricted system.
