I know so many people who came to USA on h1b program 6 years back, got their green card and now waiting for US Citizenship. You know what, they cry a lot when they see new h1b quota increases, as they fear most to loose their high-tech job or good package to work in India.
In 1999 when I told people that outsourcing is the future of IT, few friends call me and told me why I spread the roomer. At that time, they are in middle of their GC process.

Therefore, if you are an American by birth and you are in your 25+ age you should not worry much.
There is very systematic, silent world going on in IT market. Reality is different. I always see things with emotion, and emotion of IT is sad.
Just think this scenario, what h1b worker will do if there is no work in USA? He is not even capable to work in McDonald. He will go back and do something else in India or do national time pass cricket.
H1b job is nothing but an organic fertilizer for American hybrid economy.
More interesting is done by cingular and Motorola. They added extra hard drive in phone. It's like selling their product using one more unnecessary feature.
Why can't I create a list of music I want to listen on my laptop, load it to satellites radio website and let satellite broad cast all song one by one on my mobile phone? Satellite radio is there any way; you just make it more customizable to work with mobile phone.
I am more interested in mobile phone world. First they use java/brew application then PDA now iPod.
Well when we will use mobile phone as currency or small children location device or clear signal mobile phone or just simple working mobile phone with no cancer.
Certification is something like joining some religion.
You can write hello world program in C, C++, Java, ASP, PHP etc. Based on your requirment and need you can select all and do every thing you want. Look at php/mysql and look at asp/sql server. tones of example.
The point is about logic (THE GOD). The language (Technology) is like religion and we all fight for that. We fight in campus, meetings and in technology fair.
If you look at Aisa Pac. parents thinks western technology is every thing. And there is nothing in their country. Like India,Pakstan and China.
The real issue is AisaPac people thinks that life, oppertunity and money are in western part of the world. And we all know how this technology company works.
So you will see all kind of certification done by 9, 10 or 7 year old kids. After all the company needs working ants. Trust me fees to pass this certification is not a small amount in Pakistan and India. But still people do that. It's like giving costly offering to Technology GOD. The new world is coming with new GOD and new fight. This is the time we can see real naked eye how new cast, hierarchy and division could be form in material world.
Are you ready for new UNTOCHABLES?
Certification is gimmicks and they keep live only one thing and that is technology hype.
Are we talking about lake of re-search done by simputer manufacture for India and world market?

We are talking about jump start product development and not slow evolution.
It will be interesting to know how costly Palm Os PDA was when it was first launched compare to availability with other companies. And how much it cost now and with what featured enhancement?
Is there any evolution theory on types of feature should be in next generation gazette?

Let's say looking at small animals on earth we try to solve complex problem of humans. Same way you should encourage company like simputer to encourage from the failures of other venture. And at the same time you should learn some thing from them.

India can build their own OS, hardware and database system and language, Only problem is Indians are not ready to think this way. They are not ready to fight to get adjusted with current situation of India. As you can see there are more number of psychiatric case in banglore after dot COM then ever. The younger generation's hero is people like sabeer bhatia who earn millions in few years, but that is not the truth any more.
The hero who can show path for Indian IT future is the one who will give idea to build entire home made software and hardware solution. The confusing part is that Indians still want to work for foreign company and yet want to live and think like their parents who have experience of working in Indian companies like TATA, BIRLA and Reliance. Or in Indian Government organisation. Where competition means bloody politics, and narrow-minded approach.
Indian government must think that ultimately you have to give price to LINUX also in one way or other. As most of the user group are nothing but free bug fixing hut for any software. And as far as cheap labour is the question, ha ha India is the best. Now we have answer of poor people also.
