The Wajahowski brothers(can't spell names) also took some visuals from Dragonballz(look at the twins when they power up)
I think your confusing Matrix visuals with Cartman visuals when he is battling Saddam at the end of the Southpark movie.

DRAM Price Fixing
·
· Score: 2, Interesting
Exactly, what problem? A couple of days ago I bought 512MB of 333 DDR for $80 (CDN $$). A couple of years ago 128MB of SDRAM was $200. In 1994 I picked up 4MB of EDO Ram for $200.
If paying less for more is called price fixing then please keep it up!
Considering that space exploration resourses are limited we have to look for life in places where it has high probabilities of existing AND we have to be able to get to those places easily. Life perhaps could exist on places on venus, but the best spacecraft don't last even a few hours on venus so looking for life there would be futile and destined for failure. Titan on the other hand is chemically similar to early earth and if it has an ocean then that would have spread life all over the whole moon so no matter where the probe lands, if life exists it has a good chance of finding it.
I'm just wondering where did all these click-thru EULA supporters suddenly come from? Any previous postings about licences went something like 'the EULA is not legal','I agreed to it but I did not understand it so it is not binding', and 'click thru licencing has not been proven in court'
EULA's have been one of the biggest things for slashdotters to complain about, now it seems everyone is supporting them and saying that ' the EULA states MS cannot be held libel and since the EULA is law and legal and binding they are SOL and can't sue'
WTF is going on? Bring back the normal EULA-hating world I used to love.
and your response is that you are forced to sell your surplus wheat within your own country instead of outside as if that were a bad thing
Because compared to Western Canada, eastern canada IS another country. Eastern Canadians have the arrorgant and ignorant belief that they are the the center of the world (Toronto being called 'the center of the universe', Ottawa referring to it as 'Central Canada') and the rest of Canada is frontier land that is there to be exploited. If Eastern Canadians had a clue what the rest of the country was like besides their own little self-centered corner of it, they would know that policies like bilingualism the gun registry are wrong.
The (un)fortunate truth that most Ottawanians don't realize, is that once you get a few hours outside of Ottawa, say past Sudbury, Ottawa becomes very insignificant in the hearts and minds of the people.
I am so sick of these under 15 year olds that think that the universe started with the Matrix. The Matrix was a great movie, but every movie that comes out now that has slow motion shots and long black coats is now a Matrix rip off? Kid, these have been in movies ever since movies began, and became popular in the 60's, if not earlier.
Here's a better list.
-Sword/thunder sound effects during opening cuts:Excalibur -Girl in shiny skin tight leather:Grease -And black trench coat:Pale Rider -Shooting straight armed in subway with tiled walls-Beverly Hills Cop I and II -Bad guys running into hallway with guns and aiming at empty wall:Miami Vice -Girl on top of building surveying the city:Batman -Surveying the GOTH city:Batman -Same girl jumping off of tall building:Bionic Woman -And landing hard and walking away:Bionic Woman -Wolf things crawling on walls:Ghostbusters -Straight arm face hit which flips the opponent 270 degrees:Mortal Combat -Character running way faster than humanly possible:like come on, you can't be so naive to think that the matrix was the first to to this? The Six million Dollar man -And jumping on a car and stabbing through the roof:Exactly, many movies:Terminator for one, T2 for another
So what's next? A movie has a car jumping over somthing so it is copying Dukes of Hazzard? Or because Vin Diesel is is bald he is copying Kojak, who copied Yul Brinner? Of course I doubt you know any of these people or shows I mentioned.
but I'll note that your beloved US is down at number 37.
I noticed the US was #37, but more important is that Canada is #30. Pretty poor performance from a country that is supposed to have the best healthcare system in the world. Even if the WHO's rating system is flawed, you would think that if Canada's healthcare system is so good it would have ranked MUCH higher.
but if you think there are two dozen better countries in which to live (though I doubt you've been to any of them), why don't you fuck off there?
Oh so you think Canada is such a complete paradise that it is above criticism? Do you believe that everything is so perfect in Canada that noone has anything to complain about? Are you really that naive?
I'm glad you said that. Here's the rankings in 2000, according to the World Health Organization. Canada in not the #1 spot, or even in the top 5. To find Canda here's a hint:scroll down.
1 France 2 Italy 3 San Marino 4 Andorra 5 Malta 6 Singapore 7 Spain 8 Oman 9 Austria 10 Japan 11 Norway 12 Portugal 13 Monaco 14 Greece 15 Iceland 16 Luxembourg 17 Netherlands 18 United Kingdom 19 Ireland 20 Switzerland 21 Belgium 22 Colombia 23 Sweden 24 Cyprus 25 Germany 26 Saudi Arabia 27 United Arab Emirates 28 Israel 29 Morocco 30 Canada
If you open your mind to the possibility that Canada is not the center of the universe, and if you don't automatically believe the lies and spindoctoring from members your liberal government, you will realize that not everyone in the world is waving a Canadian flag, not everyone wants to be a Canadian, and that many parts of the world have standards of living as high as Canada. If you do this your "Canada is #1" viewpoint will quickly disappear. Canada is a nice country, I am Canadian, I live here, but there's dozen or two that just as good and even better.
They're just jealous that we have universal medical coverage for less per capita than they spend for partial medical coverage because of HMOs,
I live in Ontario and it's been four months since I have been diagnosed with cancer, and if I am lucky I may get in for surgery in April. And you're bragging about this joke healthcare system Canada has? Most industrialized countries have better healthcare than Canada. Canadian Medicare pays for the basics and that's it. If my employer didn't provide private medical insurance I would have had to pay thousands in the last 18 months. In the states my treatment would have been long finished, even in a public hospital.
and everything else that makes us different. Let's see...the tv show that is #1 in the states is #1 in Canada. The movie that is #1 in the states is usually #1 in Canada. The album that is #1 in the states is usually #1 in Canada....shall I go on? Seems to me we are Americans!
What's next, bragging about how Canadians (mostly British troops and Indians) beat Americans in a battle over a hundred years ago?
That is bullshit! I don't mean bullshit for you saying it, I mean bullshit for Canadians telling others healthcare is so wonderful up here. There's 30 contries that have better healthcare systems than Canada, yet Canadians have the arrogance to think that god himself declared Canada be the only country in the entire world to have state funded healthcare.
Medicare up here pays for the basics and that's it-if you are in an accident and need emergency care, then you receive it, which is about the same that you would receive in the States.
I knock them (and Lexmark, and many other inkjet manufacturers) for trying to rip people off! They sell printers at below cost and consumers think "Mmmm...what a great deal I am getting", until they find out they have to buy $5 worth of ink for $40.
That's like buying a toaster and later finding out only Black and Decker bread fits in it, which is $10 a loaf. Or like buying a KIA car, then finding out oil it uses costs $20 a litre.
Hmm...this kinda sounds like some software company that everyone complains about that sells their OS for $199 but it only costs them $40 to make.
I consider Enterprise theme music a giant leap ahead from previous shows. Anything is better that that slow..dull..sweeping...unemotional..boring classical theme music that we were subjected to on DS9 & Voyager.
Michael Keaton is batman?? He was a good batman because ANYONE can play batman! Get any guy with a chin and once they put on the suit they look like batman; the next movie they should consider Jay leno or Brian Mulroney. Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne sucked and was a hunge casting mistake. At least get someone who at least looks like they can punch their way out of a wet paper bag. That's why Val & Gorge were so much better as Bruce Wayne.
Don Knotts as Bruce Wayne would not have been any less believable.
The Wajahowski brothers(can't spell names) also took some visuals from

Who the hell is going to use Windows 2003 to primarily serve up NFS shares?
For balance I think they should test Windows 2003 throughput of NFS.
In that case I think MS would also find a way to make windows win.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Don't know what you've been smoking, but it must be goooooooood!
What's exactly is a fossile? I did a search and only results in french came back. Is a fossile like when you only have one fossil?
For christs sake, read the man page, the HOWTO, or go back to point-and-click windows if you want your hand held.

Mortal Kombat
also:
Logans Run
The Hitcher, with Rutger Hauer
Scanners
Commando
Hilarious movie, at least that's the way I remember it when I saw it in the late 80's (or was it early 90's?)
Star Trek is like Windows. They have run out of ideas and just keep recylying old ones. And like in Star Trek, people are becoming aware of it.
I consider Enterprise theme music a giant leap ahead from previous shows. Anything is better that that slow..dull..sweeping...unemotional..boring classical theme music that we were subjected to on DS9 & Voyager.
You're being sarcastic, right?
Why can't a company be open source and sell its product for profit? What's wrong with this?
Name one company that is doing this and making as much profit as M$! M$ is doing quite fine being closed-source.
