true, but to DOS a user from connecting you would need to know that 1) port knocking is being used, 2) the ip the user is trying to connect from.

neither witch would be easy to know if your some script kiddie, or even someone with some skill, scanning port ranges for open ports/servers ect

As i see it, the kernal has to deal with requests on closed ports, and i do belive it logs said requests, so to implement this you take said logs and watch for your sequance and when seen open. It would not change existing kenral level security at all. Its all in the implemention.

Look, if 99% of the population supports the US, but theres 1% that don't that means there are going to be ppl willing to kill US soldiers for their belifes. Why is it when ppl hear of the attacks on the US's forces their they assume it means the ENTIRE population is fakeing their joy at being free and saddam being now captured, just so they can stab the US in the back tomorrow.

no, its that theres a small portion of the population that resents the US and all they stand for and will continue to attack regardless of what the US does, if tomorrow the US decided to spend 100 billion dollers to rebult all of iraq. they would still hate it and still kill us forces.

Also the fact the iraq is not being rebuilt as fast as some would like, or that everything is back to normal yet is also causeing ppl to get angry.

I belive the ppl killing US forces are only a smally minority of the iraq population, witch will get smaller as time goes on (unless the US fuckes up bigtime witch could happen)

    2) He also states windows DOES NOT RECOVER. it BSODs and locks up. So windows XP must NOT detect this as you say if the parent poster si correct, and seince he doesn't seem to be a windows fanboy who misreads the post they are replying to i'm more inclined to take his side.

    3) he then states that switching from windows XP to linux caused said problem to dissapear and under linux there were no problems. in otehr words linux DOESN"T HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
