This all bullshit speculation. How can someone, say what he's said, especially with the current state of things? PS3 is getting it's ass kicked, hardcore. They can't sell the things at current prices. Fanbois are the only ones buying them. The rest are sitting on shelves, wasting space. When Japan drops the price on the newest PS's then you know there's a serious problem. has this guy even read all of the backlash out there, as far as, people wanting a gaming system and not a next generation DVD player?
I have a feeling Sony is now paying people to write up baseless bullshit like this guy. Does anyone actually know a person who wants a PS3? I don't and my friends are all gamers. Same reasons, as for not wanting one.... 1) Too expensive 2) Don't need/want a Blu-Ray player 3) No games 4) Too expensive
The Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD is also pure speculation More trends -
Personally I believe HD-DVD will win or both formats with coexist because -
1) HD-DVD is cheaper to manufacture 2) Porn has chosen HD-DVD as it's main format 3) Blu-Ray is Sony's format - this makes, some people hate it, period. 4) Much more expensive to manufacture
Blu-Ray's only plus is more storage, but don't we have way too many, trivial extras, on movie disks and do we really need 1,000,000 cgi-cutscenes, in game? Blu-Ray space is only a plus on the pc storage side of things.
Anyway, to paraphrase, that article is total bullshit....the end:D
Porn is a multi-billion dollar industry so this is a big deal, and speaks volumes about winning the "standard" race. You have millions of Xbox 360 owners who can now watch porn on their Xbox's. That will, most definitely, be a big deal and selling point, between friends. I'm sure the porn industry will use this, tie-in, as a selling point too. Gaming meets porn is a natural IMHO. It's the next step in enterspankment. Yes, I have coined a new a catchy phrase!
It's going to be sweet to use my 360 remote a a virtual dildo, but it'd be better if it worked like the Nintendo nunchuk, so it could sense, exactly, how I'm moving it. Maybe that'll be an addon pack? There's so many ways to go with this, actually.
Seriously speaking, the costs are cheaper to produce HD-DVD. Standalone players are half the price of Blue Ray and the quality is the same, to the naked eye. Anyone who can tell the difference between 1080i/p is full of it and it's more dependent on the tv, cable, etc., than which HD format you're using.
This really is a big deal, in terms of, the new format war.
I support around 50 users of the 6600, which blows, and I've been testing the 6700. These specif phones or really just PDA's with basic phone functionality added. My company uses these phones in tandem with Fujistu Lifebooks to send orders, update db's, etc. We also use Goodlink on the phones, which works great, except for an issue to two.
Here are my notes on the 6700, if you're curious, after a weeks use....
First phone, unusable after a few hours. Had the BSOD equivalent but it was WSOD instead. Had to be replaced.
EDIT - Figured out the reason for this error. If you have Goodlink installed and enable the password protection, included on the device, You are stuck with no way out. You must hard reset and start over. After a hard reset or a fresh setup of the device, you must skip the password setup, or you'll have to hard reset and start over.
Synch issues - Windows Firewall must be disabled to sync. Had to connect the cable directly to the phone, as it would not sync through the cradle. Seems random after numerous tries. Seems to work either way, now.
Battery - Seems to have a much shorter life and if Wifi is on, the battery dies very fast.
Goodlink - Menus are a little different, but seems to run fine/same
WModem - Now defaults to USB with no serial option The phone connection is mini-usb
Keypad - The keypad has been moved, from the bottom of the device, to a horizontal slot. When you open the keyboard the screen reorients to a horizontal position and vice versa. Very nice and much more user friendly.
Phone - The reception is no better than the previous generation. Now has voice, speed dialing, functionality. Drops my data password more than my previous 6600, by far. still testing
Resets - Very few soft resets so far, but it's still early.
Directional pad has been replaced by a toggle switch. Would seem to be very fragile, for our needs. I think this would be broken by quite a few reps.
Camera - Better quality than the 6600, 1.3mp. The camera button on my phone doesn't work so I must open the program via menus.
Wifi - It's great for those of us who can use the functionality.
Memory card - It's now Mini-SD instead of regular size SD memory cards.
Transmitting - more testing needed. BT is a major pain and not worth using. Sending through normal means - tethered usb cable - very problematic. I was only able to connect for a few seconds before I'd get an error and dc'd. The msg said - cannot send data through tethered and Bluetooth - even though Bluetooth was disabled on the phone and fujitsu.
Form factor - much smaller screen size, feels more like a phone instead of a PDA, unlike the 6600. It is a bit thicker though.
UI/Software Changes - Battery power icon now on the desktop. No longer have to manually set button lock via software. Now set by default.
Hardware - No visible external screws like unlike the AV6600. On the AV6600 we had 2 outer screws which would both fall out over time and lead to the devices being randomly hard reset. A definite plus, on the new phone. The cradle comes with and extra usb port and space to charge and extra battery.
Accessories - There's a great aluminum case - retail $30 - which is the best I've seen in terms of protecting a phone of this type. Very good shock/drop protection yet all buttons are accessible. Great for us since most users who break the AV6600 do so by dropping or crushing screens.
I am applying these points to movies on the two formats....
1) People say that Sony is responsible for how popular dvd's are and how they made it a successful standard. Their reasoning is that Sony made it affordable to the masses with the PS2. If this was the case then how does that apply to the PS3? $600 or $1000 for the stand alone BR player. I fail to see the correlation.
2) BR has more storage capability than HD-DVD....BUT, this is a discussion about movies not data storage so it's kind of irrelevant. That being said, yes you can store more "extras" on a BR Disk but this is normally "filler" crap that is watched once, maybe twice. It just reminds me of the quote from Fight Club..."We work jobs we hate to buy shit we don't need. The quote is applicable here because people, here, work these boards to push their views and ideologies on this subject but it's all bullshit, for the most part, and it doesn't matter.
3) I haven't read anything in this thread about BR disks being more fragile. Is this still the case? I know I read numerous stories about this subject. It had something to do with the data layer being so close to the surface of the disk. There were stories like this when DVD's came out so maybe it's akin to that type of propaganda.
4) Compare the two formats quality and you'd be hard pressed to see any discernible difference. Actually if you told me you could then I'd have to slap you because there's really no way to honestly say that. I think it'd be more dependent upon the hardware setup, i.e., tv, resolution, cables, etc. 1080i vs 1080p quality is so over-rated and I would equivocate it to the difference between cpus running a few hundred mhz, apart. It's less than trivial and more epeen speak than anything else.
5) People are people, they will pick sides, and they will make biased arguments from now until the cows(Oprah/Rosie) come home. We all have our personal preferences and no corporate entity will decide for us. It will be the consumers who pick a winner here. I think it will stay split, myself, and that's fine with me. The companies involved need to stop being such pricks and unify the standard or put out a dual format player.
6) How can anyone say that this fight is in it's final stages? That's just some corporate bullshit meant to convince the uninformed masses. No one has any idea and if they say they do then they are full of shit.
To sum it up...quality over one another is a non-starter, BR has the edge on storage (big fucking deal, unless I want to watch something like Uwe Bol's boxing matches added on as extra content...fuck that), with MS on the HD-DVD side it really doesn't matter who's on the other side, money wise, most people aren't buying either due to not having the money for an HDTV, 360w/HD-DVD addon, PS3 w/BR, or standalone players-HD-DVD $499/ BR $999. It a niche market and it will stay that way for some time.
This is nothing new and it seems to be all hype. If you have digital cable, in my area, you get a free cable box w/PVR built in. I have multiple DVD players, HD-DVD at that, 7.1 SS Home theater setup, an a HTPC(not store bought).
The biggest issue I have with these premade, pieces of shit, is they are way over-priced. You could build much better, with multiple form factors, depending on preference, much cheaper. Most of the hardware that goes into these things is generic crap. Cheap hardware+SFF=Profit!! The $1000 version is probably Celeron based with minimal RAM. It probably lacks what's needed period and is only listed so they can say they have a cheaper model. It's just like the cheaper versions of the 360/PS3 which nobody wants.
For my next HTPC I've bought a mac mini, which I'm going to dual boot in XP. Parallel looks ok but I'm told it's not that great. Mojopac shows a lot of promise, but I have to learn more about it. Anyway, running XP on a mac mini gives me great SFF, but lacks some things. I can make it all work depending on how much I will use said function. They make external drives that match the mini so storage won't be an issue and the SFF can't be beat. This will be my first mac, but it's only for the SFF not the OS, as I'll be running XP to get the HTPC stuff going.
For those wanting to build there own you can do so with top notch components for way under $1500. When I was looking at doing this I built multiple versions on Newegg. Below I've listed specs off of memory... Shuttle XPC case/mobo/ps(need to upgrade) $169 after 20 rebate AMD64 4200X2 - $169 1GB Corsair XMS DDR2@800mhz - $130 SATA 320GB HD - $95 Win MCE 2k5 - $109 Haupage dual TV tuner (PCI) $130ish GeForce 7950 gt or gs (can't remember) $189 DVD Drive $30 That's the bulk of it and it's $1021
$3k can kiss my ass and so can $2k, it's a rip and generic hardware. $1021 plus an hour or so piecing it together=priceless!
I recently sold my WoW account to one of our servicemen in Iraq. I'm not sure if it's playable over there, but it'd be funny if our side and the bad guys were playing together, running instances, PvP. I have this funny vision of the insurgents really getting into the Alliance chars. I see them running around the real battlefield in Night Elf costumes, doing the human Saturday Night Fever dance, or better yet, the Tunak dance, since that has to do with that part of the world.
I'm not going to rehash the same pro/con fanboi arguments in this here post. What I will offer up is my humble opinion.
They are meeting demand faster than the 360 due to the system not selling out as fast. The cost is still too high and they won't see big sales numbers until they lower the cost. They can't lower the cost, at present, due to losing money out of the gate. It's also a lost cause because MS/Nin can still low ball them if they decide to drop the cost. I think if they came in around 360 premium price, they would see better market penetration. They should also consider releasing a non-BR version with wifi for $299 and I bet it'd sell the shit out of the present choices they are offering up.
The PS3 was, pretty much, a paper release. I say this because they didn't have enough units, on hand, very few games, an incomplete gaming network, etc. I think they released and hoped to get the early adapters and such, but to this point, I think it's been a disappointing release, for them, no matter what they say. The truth is the cost is the single biggest issue holding them back. Everyone is piling on, now, so unless they pull something huge out of their asses, things aren't going to improve until they drop the price.
$600 is way too much for a video game system for the avg family, period. All the spoiled children who want to say it's not, obviously don't earn a living, so they have no valid appreciation for how much $600 is. I can afford a PS3, no problem, but I am unmarried and I don't have children. My low cost subsistence of free pr0n, boca burgers, and no debt make things more affordable:D I finally bought a 360, after a year of trying to justify it, because I could at least modularize it, which does make it cheaper. That's the simple truth.
90% of American consumers, know nothing or could care less, about DRM, proprietary hardware, etc. so, as long as they like a product, they will buy it. If the product is over-priced, for their specific incomes, they will not buy it.
The PS3 is a good value based on the hardware, involved, but most people don't care about that because they are not technically savvy. Most do not care if the PS3 includes a BR drive, either. People but consoles to play games. The public, at large, do not buy consoles to install Linux, to play around with homebrew, mess with clusters, etc. The crowd that does those things are in the minority, unfortunately. The PS3 is simply priced too high, for the average consumer and, is overkill, in terms of their needs. Force-feeding BR, which jacked up the price, big-time, was a mistake. Microsoft chose to modularize the 360, in terms of HD-DVD, and that was an excellent idea. They gave the consumer the choice and that kept the price down. I can afford the PS3, but I can't justify $600 for it. The only reason I'd buy it is for the BR, but I am in the minority on that one. I bought a 360 and the HD-DVD drive. I am very happy with both products and the entire service, as a whole.
I am not a fanboi of either company/system, but I have to admit, Sony has made some major mistakes this time around. The proof is out there.
Back to the American audience. I am American, if it matters. I will speak of Americans, here, as they since I am not a sheep:) The majority of Americans are sheep, know very little and/or don't care enough to learn about the things, that matter around them. From politics, to technology, to rights as citizens, to government, and everything else, in between. They will take anything they like, regardless of it causes cancer, makes them fat, infected with DRM, etc. if it satiates their "must consume" at all cost mindset. You have to know that DRM keeps getting worse and worse because the majority of American, and the world at large, do not care enough to speak with their wallets, in terms of not buying such fucked up products. Corporations are slowly, but surely, ruling the world, making the laws, and are no longer selling us products, instead, only issuing us temporary licenses to use the products,we thought, we bought. It's virtual ownership in the real world. It's bullshit, but people don't care enough to stop consuming it. They are ambivalent and addicted. When will people stop being sheep and put an end to this bullshit?
This game is truely great. I've been in the closed beta quite a while and still can't get enough of the game itself. The graphics aren't state of the art but they still aren't really alcking. I'd rather have gameplay over visuals. After the newness of D3 wore of it was boring if you know what I mean.
There is plenty to do at all times whether it's questing, killing, PvP, PvE, auctions(totally addicting), polishing up your trade skills-my favs mining, skinning, alchemy, and the subskills-1st aid and fishing. I love smelting the minerals I've collected into bars which I sell at auction. it's a lot of fun. You can buy new recipies for most tradeskills as to do and create more items. You also have raids/instances/etc. I'm leaving out plenty but trust me there's much more.
The learning curve on this game is minimal and this is coming from a FPS freak. I'm done with that genre and stuck in WoW.
Above all this game is stable beyond belief. I experience very few crashes and all I do when it happens is reboot and I'm good to go.
The continents are massive and in no area is there much lacking other than stuff still in development by Blizzard. I predict this will the biggest game of all time which means it'll have to beat another game by the same company which is proof they know what they're doing. I'm not fanboy but this game is everything promised and more.
I highly recommend WoW above any other game out there.
I have to say that your comments about Supplanting and subverting the status quo is not the answer. Working to direct its course sensibly is what we should be doing. were something that I'd agree with. In your previous responses it was all about confrontation and confronting a person and/or his/her ideas that seemed the polar opposite of your's but now you see we can agree on something that has to do with something that we are both interested in.
Without coming off as being cerebrally ostentatious and I'm sure it's something you wouldn't accuse me of I find your last response to be something to ponder and kick around rather than a baseless, witless personal attack on a mere stranger in this virtual world. You see I am fully capable of deep thought pertaining to the intrinsic parts of our lives. I don't live to "fight the man" or epitomize the typical rebel without a cause.
What I take in and ingest daily as to experiences, interactions, and witnessing the sad and lost sheep in the matrix effects and helps mold my own personal outlook and ideology. I have my own personal philosophies and I believe in them more than anything else because they get me through life more than any book, or bullshit, or any sense of false hope that most buy into. I think if we were stripped of all of our worldly material possessions and think of what really mattered then we would see that our belief system coupled with an actual belief in them is all we have ever had.
You or anyone else can walk through life and buy into whatever is being sold at present as to religion, lifestyle, or whatever other trivial pretense but I just can't and won't. I'm no utterly unique, ubiquitous, soul because I am original like everyone else:) We're all part of the same compost heap. I'd like to think that I am altruistic at times even though I might not put that out for everyone is does happen.
I didn't mean to expound infinitely on what I believe or who I am so I'll shut up in a minute after a few more thoughts...
I am not as shallow as you think I am not as mindless as you perceive I am capable of independent thought based on analyzing and processing the data which pertains to each and every situation I am also capable of coming off as none of the above and am quite comfortable with that too I enjoy a good troll/flamebaiter like a lot of people but this has evolved into something better and I am surprised at that.
Ok first off I don't ride a chopper. I ride a sport bike hence my bikes weight of 357lbs and not 800lbs. Since my bike is 443 lbs lighter than you perceived does it make me more safe?:P
Yes I was throwing your comments and categorizations back at you if you must know. None of my beliefs are on autopilot. They come from real life experiences but trust me I am neither anti-social nor psychotic. I have a very healthy view in questioning of my day-to-day existence. I without a doubt analyze before forming a conclusion and acting upon it if need be.
I will say for the most part the status quo sucks. Think about it. We're on slashdot which is about technology, learning about it, and overcoming the obstacles to take it to the next level. In other words it's about always putting the hand in the face of the status quo and taking it further.
You might think endos/stoppies are stupid but to a lot of us it's fun and nice parting shot. How does it go? I think therefor I am...regardless of what you or anyone else thinks:D
Anarchy? "Fight Club" bullshit? none of the above. You speak as if you're a scared little bitch and are offended by people who like to test the waters and not trust the status quo. It's about actual visceral experiences, not living through other's experiences.
As for thinking I'm Peter Fonda I think not. First off he rode a bitches bike:) Second off anything I try that risks wiping out is done on an empty highway not at local intersections or school crossings. I do admit to doing endos/stoppies at lights but it's a mastery and involves no danger really and people love it when they see. If you don't believe it I don't give a fuck and no one is in danger at all.
It sounds as if you believe in an Orwellian ideology. Shit to make the world extra safe lets not do anything that might be the slightest bit unsafe, put cameras every 5 ft to observe safety, pump unknown substances into our food to make us feel safe in a psychologial sense, and in general forgo all personal rights because big brother knows what's best in terms of safety for us right?
Fuck that
You can continue to not jay-walk when the road is empty, buy monopolized media from companies who still own the product but only let you license it, and in general let some book written by man, but said to be authored by a supreme being, meant to control you continue to control you , moralize, and scare you into conforming to what other people think is right, wrong, or indifferent. I only the other hand will just try to live without imposing myself on anyone and also not endangering anyone by the way I ride my bike.
Aren't you late for a PTA meeting or something? DOn't you have your prescriptions to pick up? Paxil, Viagra, Immitrex, Psuedoephedrine, Propecia, Prozac, etc.? yea I bet you're livin' the American dream and fucking maxed out on your c.c.'s, mortgage, and all that other shit you get into by subscribing to that grand ole "white picket fence" bullshit theory for lack of a better term.
Life isn't safe but as long as I'm free to do as I please I will push it when I can. That's just me. If I sat around thinking about how dangerous everything was I'd never leave my house and what's the point of living like that? I've gone down recently at 55mph and because I wear all the safety gear I was relatively unscathed and was able to ride my bike home. My view is you can't learn anything about yourself or what you're interested unless you push it. Laws are meant to be broken be it the shift key, markers on cd's, or speeding....
Please these repsonses act like our judicial system actually works. What a joke and i can't believe some of the stuff I've read in response to my parent here. Do the names OJ SImpson or Jack Kervorkian mean anything? One who was obviously guilty of murder but bought his way out and the other helped ease the dying patients pain and put away.
Oh yea it's really a great system and cannot be bought or corrupted. Enron, Tyco CEO's...where are they at? Oh yea free and the people they fucked out of their pensions? Destitute and dependent on the system for the most part but once again the judicial system is unflawed and fair! Not! Our judicial system is starting to borrow the ideology from India's caste system in terms of the have's getting preferential treatment and the have not's being treated as peasants.
Our judicial system is the best that money can buy.
As for myself enjoying mwatching MJ getting porked no I'm not into that but I'd love for that freak to get a reality check in this lifetime. Maybe he can get with the Crips, get accepted, and then get his ass jumped-in, Compton style:)
Most of these people are in and out of prison so do you think they actually give a shit if they're on cam? If anything they might feel like they're on Jerry Springer or something along those lines. Who cares about booking a cell cams? I'm sure there's a market for "forced-gang-raping-the-n00b" cam though. Big dollars there....I'd subscribe if Michael Jackson goes to jail!
How about cops having to wear a cathetor that detects how many donuts they consume per day? The numbers are then compiled at the end of the year and if they've eaten too many donuts then their health insurance goes up? Makes sense since some donut scarfing bastard just gave my ass a ticekt for doing 79 in a 55. In my state that's a $298 ticket. total fucking bullshit!
79 isn't even fast. I've done 160 on my R6 numerous times this year but no "donut downers" in sight:)
$1499 street price for a 15"....on that note I'll take 2 or 3. I know new tech is more expensive but how many units can you realistically expect to sell at that price?
I'm thinking it could cause some sort of "brain fart" and Sharp will be sued out of existence.
What would be really cool is if they bundled this with the tooth shaped keyboard from one of yesterday's stories. Better yet throw the Phantom console into the bundle to make it triple-craptastic:)
I have no problem going after whoever if the punishment fits the crime. I don't believe downloading files and infringing on one's copyright should be punishable by long jail sentences and financial ruin unless the accused are a major syndicate making money selling their warez.
Let me reiterate that if it's a single person or non-profit group you can punish them but not with jail time or outrageous fines.
If it is a illegal business entity then feel free to do as you may but it must be proven to be a business and not purely based on speculation.
The same goes for music copyright infringement. $150k per song is ludicrous. Charge what it'd cost per cd and double it max because what's in place now is beyond a joke.
Make the punishment fit the crime or before we know it we'll have more prison overcrowding simply from single user copyright infringement.
How long until we see "Just say no to media theft" ads? This is getting ridiculous and it needs to stop. Should a person who downloaded a warez, mp3's, or movies be doing time with convicted felons and violent ones at that?
Simple answer - FUCK NO! Corporate Amerikkka is rewriting our laws without any thought of our personal rights as guaranteed under the constitution.
People need to wake the fuck up!
Good...sick of hearing what was on last night

I wish no one watched tv because I'm sick of "did you see that Seinfeld episode" as relating to any topic during the day. Friends is also used in that capacity as relating to real life. I'm so sick of hearing about the last year of this show. NBC is trying to pull at people's heart strings and equivacate the ending of the show with a life changing event. It's a fucking sitcom, those aren't real people, and if you're saddened by the end of the show then you need to get a fucking life!
If anything I might have the tv on for the news in the background while I'm doing other things and when I go to bed I put in a dvd to put me to sleep but other than that I don't watch any tv.
I refuse to watch reality tv because if my life is so boring I have to voyeur in on someone else's life I want to take 50 bullets to the head. TV is such a waste of time. Now being on a computer isn't because at least you're using your brain and you can be doing contructive things like downloading mp3's, movies, programs, and tons of pr0n:) Computers are about freedom and free shit!:D
I work all day long as an IT guy and I do other work at home but I go to the gym, race sports atv's, play a lot fo other sports, go camping, and just stay busy. If I get into a game way too much I make myself do other things because real life needs to be concentrated on much more than my "virtual" life. It's about priorities and working towards a constructive life.
This is the future no matter what the platform be it pda's, phones, pc's, etc. and there's a really simple fix. Buy, if you don't already have, the previous generation's hardware and milk it for all it's worth. I'm sure that'd work for some years until there's a clear winner on the "hacked" side of things.
Since this is another "swiss army" knife device that claims to do it all well then I have one more feature suggestion. Seeing as the N-Gage was such a phenominal hit how about adding phone functionality to the PSX? It's probably easier to use than an N-Gage, phone wise, and although it doesn't resemble a taco you could say it's more akin to a block of cheese in the looks department.
It could be used as a portable device as long as you can strap it to your back and roll around a gas generator on a hand truck to power the thing.
This just proves that lack of pussy makes you do very strange and desperate things.
If I ever did anything that invloved vaseline and my mom then please put me out of my misery....and are we really getting the entire story? Enquiring minds want to know.....ok maybe they don't!
And why do you think this happened? Because terrorists do not like Mickey Mouse? I think you missed my main point-I don't give a fuck what a terrorist says to justify his/her acts of terrorism.
I am an independent/idealist who operates on common sense.
Then please, use that common sense. You should use your own advice.
love my country and I love my life.
Why in that order? Why do you put your country before yourself or your loved ones? Do you know that 'training' people in pre-WW-II Germany to 'love' their country no matter what (Blut und Boden, blood and ground) let to the rise of nationalistic fascism? They weren't in order of importance. I think you're reading more into my thoughts than was meant to be.
(...) kill for twisted beliefs (...)
Sure. Whatever you do, do NOT try to understand the other side. Just call their believes 'twisted' and be done with it. Thats so much more easy than having to think about why the status quo is as it became. Fuck excuse me for not giving a fuck about someone who murder INNOCENT people and has a reason for it. I don't give a shit. People who kill innocent people should follow the same fate! Tell you what the next time someone shoots, burns, mutilates someone from my country I'll just fly over and try to empathize, try to understand why they did it...then I'll shoot them in the head:) Man your reasoning is flawed and unrealistic. They don't care if you understand they want you dead. They want the world to be ISLAM-ONly or haven't you followed what's been said and why they do what they do?
Please get me straight: I strongly dissapprove of terrorism; I have no sympathy whatsoever for people who kill or injure innocent people. There is however no way we are going to get rid of this by the kneejerk reactions seen in the US and some other countries. Trying to understand terrorists and seeing how and why they came to be terrorists in the first place might just be more useful than fighting them, because you simply cannot win. History has taught us that. Please, for the love of freedom, open your eyes and your mind; do not let yourself be brainwashed by power-hungry politicians and their media. You seem like an intelligent person, please use that intelligence to try and look further than what you are being shown.
I am not brainwashed and I don't buy shit my government or any other government says. I think and for my own opinions. Independent thinker to the core. My eyes are wide open but I'm not going to live in fear or let terrorists slaughter innocent people no matter what their nationality is. You should open your eyes and understand they have one objective and that is convert the world to Islam. Just like the Palestinians want to wipe Israel off of the map and not live with them.
I know our governments mostly look after their own interests but that's their purpose and yes it sometimes is a terrible thing but no government is going to put another countries interest over their own.
I'm all for a discussion with groups not out to destroy mine or any others way of life but they wouldn't talk to us if we begged. They are the worst rascists on the planet. They want all of us dead or converted but we know they prefer dead. They have no value of life period. Pandering to them will only empower them. The only thing they understand is violence so that's what they'll get. In saying this I'm just pointing at the terrorist and not all Arabs, Muslims, etc. Not all are extremists and I know this to be true....I saw it on the discovery channel:)
Lastly we can try to understand all we want but it won't change the current state of affairs. I know we are trying to better things with the younger generations out there so hopefully our future will be brighter as well as theirs...

1) Too expensive
2) Don't need/want a Blu-Ray player
3) No games
4) Too expensive
The Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD is also pure speculation
More trends -
http://www.google.com/trends?q=blue-ray,+hd-dvd&c
Personally I believe HD-DVD will win or both formats with coexist because -
1) HD-DVD is cheaper to manufacture
2) Porn has chosen HD-DVD as it's main format
3) Blu-Ray is Sony's format - this makes, some people hate it, period.
Double entendre intended
If you have Goodlink installed and enable the password protection, included on the device,
You are stuck with no way out. You must hard reset and start over.
After a hard reset or a fresh setup of the device, you must skip the password setup, or you'll have to hard reset and start over.
Synch issues -
Windows Firewall must be disabled to sync. Had to connect the cable directly to the phone, as it would not sync through the cradle. Seems random after numerous tries. Seems to work either way, now.
Battery -
Seems to have a much shorter life and if Wifi is on, the battery dies very fast.
Goodlink -
Menus are a little different, but seems to run fine/same
WModem -
Now defaults to USB with no serial option
The phone connection is mini-usb
Keypad -
The keypad has been moved, from the bottom of the device, to a horizontal slot.
Shuttle XPC case/mobo/ps(need to upgrade) $169 after 20 rebate
AMD64 4200X2 - $169
1GB Corsair XMS DDR2@800mhz - $130
SATA 320GB HD - $95
Win MCE 2k5 - $109
Haupage dual TV tuner (PCI) $130ish
GeForce 7950 gt or gs (can't remember) $189
DVD Drive $30
That's the bulk of it and it's $1021
No this isn't a link to a joke. This is a video of the new build, running.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcACuy4x8nA
I can simplify this subject.
,we thought, we bought. It's virtual ownership in the real world. It's bullshit, but people don't care enough to stop consuming it. They are ambivalent and addicted. When will people stop being sheep and put an end to this bullshit?
I will speak of Americans, here, as they since I am not a sheep:)
The majority of Americans are sheep, know very little and/or don't care enough to learn about the things, that matter around them. Corporations are slowly, but surely, ruling the world, making the laws, and are no longer selling us products, instead, only issuing us temporary licenses to use the products
:D
I am not as shallow as you think
I am not as mindless as you perceive
I am capable of independent thought based on analyzing and processing the data which pertains to each and every situation
I am also capable of coming off as none of the above and am quite comfortable with that too
I enjoy a good troll/flamebaiter like a lot of people but this has evolved into something better and I am surprised at that.
Now Piss Off
Ok first off I don't ride a chopper. I ride a sport bike hence my bikes weight of 357lbs and not 800lbs. Since my bike is 443 lbs lighter than you perceived does it make me more safe? :P
How can I type on something that is shaped like a tooth? Looks like the N-Gage engineers have worked their magic once again!
:D
It could be used as a portable device as long as you can strap it to your back and roll around a gas generator on a hand truck to power the thing.
Why did they miss all of these great ideas?????
