I upgraded my desktop with a cheap solution (AMD A8, 990FX, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD) all for less than my last upgrade cost ($669 vs $955) 3 years ago.
Funny how you omit the largest single cost, the video card or are you rocking 3 year old tech?

Yes let's have another Apple/Linux/Microsoft article and pass on a momentousness moment such as this. After all this is Slashdot...
Sony is a large company and they put out many things. If you have a beef against them for whatever reason then more power to you. However the question was posed about sub $50 dollar head phones and I happen to have picked up a pair of Sony's for a road trip and I was very impressed with the quality, fit and portability.
If your still upset about the rootkit and the removal of PS3 Linux that's fine. That doesn't apply to me however and I'm just giving advice and the OP can use it or lose as he or she chooses.
I know a busy slashdotter such as yourself can't be bothered to move his greasy fingers the fraction of the inch required to actually open the article and as such here is some information you might find of interest:
... and the results are quite amazing with Android Linaro achieving about 60 fps in all 0xBenchmark tests (OpenGL Cube, OpenGL Blending, OpenGL Fog and Flying Teapot) whereas Android stock achieving 30 fps. They selected a benchmark tool that is mainly CPU bound, as they cannot optimize the GPU code since they can only access binary blobs.
Also as you said yourself, it's a summary if you want the meat and potatoes of the data described just click on the damn thing instead of bitching.
If you would of used that same logic to goto YouTube and actually watch the announcement you'd know it is supported on Windows, iOS and Android platforms.
It's quite simple really, you memorize three or four 8 digit strings and then recombine them in various ways for various accounts.

Reminds me of Project 1999 a recreation of classic EverQuest. It's an absolutely phenomenal experience for anyone with fond memories of EQ. However, it's not perfect as the world has been pieced together from various leaks, logs and web posts but in all honesty that's half the fun!
Saw him give a speech in Idaho, it was a fantastic experience. Just thought it was odd the local organizers that got on the mic to introduce him first gave a speech espousing the ideals of the christian nation and a strong military budget. While when Paul actually got on stage he said exactly the opposite. Limited foreign involvement, liberty as an ideal for the inclusion of all beliefs, etc., etc. Maybe he would of had a better shot if he wasn't surrounded by people spouting the same old tired right wing talking points.
>>>Tor is a network allowing for file exchange which makes it impossible or very difficult to tell the identity of the file sharers
What the fuck is wrong with that?
Well for one it's a wildly inaccurate description of the tor network. File sharing has grown more accepted on the network but it still discouraged as it strains network resources. It's mainly a way to access (exit nodes) and share (.onion sites) information in an anonymous manner.
Pretty much all the ISPs have a very effective content filter originally instated in the name of blocking child porn - it uses a transparent proxy to intercept and block requests at the HTTP level...
Anyone caught intentionally cracking anything should get, at a minimum, 20 years of hard labor. Intentionally trying to harm or kill someone attached to a medical device should be a hanging sentence. Full stop.
Glad to see you've fallen in love with the DMCA friend! Anything that could lead to crime should be a crime aye? Never mind how close that comes to dangerously impeding our legitimate rights to freedom of speech including research that includes circumvention of various controls.
How about the much derided Flash? I have a Sony Tablet S which sports a Tegra 2 and it rarely gets used for gaming aside from the kid playing Angry Birds. But it does get used for YouTube and Comedy Central programming, a lot. However it stutters on most video playback when I visit the non-mobile non-app Youtube site, or if heaven forbid I haven't scrolled precisely to where I can only see the video on The Daily Show/Colbert Report and none of the ads found at the bottom.
I'm still inclined to believe it's poor software rather than poor hardware... but c'mon this really doesn't help to inspire confidence in the Tegra platform for me.
... and partly because with finger-dragging, it would suck.
I've always thought double-tap+drag at the "titlebar" area and single-tap+drag on the border would be fine for window manipulation on a mobile device..
Just looking at the Chrome instance I'm typing this in I see users are supposed to know that a grey spanner means "Settings". Ho hum.
And maybe they should be expected to have a little common knowledge? I don't recall seeing very many text labels for the windshield wipers or headlights on a car lately.
The existence of separate nation states gives you the ability to emigrate from crappy countries to half-decent ones. Or from half-decent to better. One World means that no matter where you go, the rules are the same; don't like drug laws or censorship or state religion? Tough, where you gonna go?
And just how many disaffected citizens have the means or the desire to do such a thing?

Apparently you have been asleep for a few decades. This is the beauty of a self serving do nothing congress!
FTFY

My 20 dollar white sonys from walmart are excellent. Dont know the model # off hand. But like I said 20 bones walmart.
It's worse than useless.
You've got to be kidding, that sounds perfectly acceptable. Having to pull over to reset your destination is a minor inconvenience at worst.

so if I want to look something up quick I can.

If it wasn't for email I wouldn't even know about all these new social networks that are constantly springing up.
What?
Show me an UAV that can constantly monitor a stockpile in real time 24/7, then we'll talk.
Several units working in shifts?
I would love for Paypal to have some competition. There asinine policies and terrible customer service have forever turned me of to the service.
Because he joins conversations with nothing relevant to say and then absconds.
Cable television AND a subscription to HBO.

I'm genuinely interested.

The iPad has completely taken over the tablet industry; ... Worse yet for Microsoft, iPads now outsell the entire desktop PC industry.
Odd that I know of no one that owns an iPad yet know dozens of people that have modern Windows desktops and several that own Android based tablets.
That's just trolling, I've done the same thing to old high school buddies. If this is "InfoOps" then it is simply laughable.
