Just so it's known you can log into any 360 with any account as well and your licenses will follow, put your DLC on an SD Card and away you go. It seems the issue is the fact Sony let's one user account register on up to 5 separate PS3s.
Reminds me of the old dail-up days; one account 5 people logged in, oh the savings!
Yeah if the movie trailers aren't doing it for you what about free product samples in a big box, test driving a car, a walk through of a house... No he wants to make game demos akin to wine tasting which is a little grandiose considering the lowest common denominator game design so in vogue these days.
Heaven forbid you notice how illogical it is to be addicted to a substance without even the benefit of a 'high'; regardless of the method of consumption.
Way to try and justify the existence of a professional group of mass murderers. Seems to me we need to practice what we preach if we are ever to obtain lasting peace in this world.

Exactly I have enough grimy controllers and keyboards around to know what using my screen as an input device will lead to.
I understand completely what they are trying to do, I just find it somewhat humorous that the same software aspects being used to increase perceived GUI responsiveness would appear, at least at face value to be of the same aspect as the 'improvements' Microsoft used (and got derided for) in the Vista to 7 GUI cycle.
Pointless banter aside I would like to simply point out that UI responsiveness is not an indicator performance. Let alone a metric to use in judging the devices processor!
I'm going to cry. Really.
I had the blessing to meet Mr. Escalante just a few months ago, before he was diagnosed with cancer. What a wonderful, wonderful man.
They should name schools after people like him.
One of my math teachers from high school was a huge fan of the movie and Mr. Escalante's work. So much that he even inspired me with his joy of teaching... to win the regional math competition; as my reward was a free pass to sleep through his class the rest of the semester.
Needless to say I caught up on a lot of sleep during those days...
Not necessarily devices for instance tend to grow more powerful over time while also gaining increased battery life via various improvements. However more powerful in the context of say a single sector of a single release cycle and then yes you will see the trade offs in power for battery life.
DDR players can hit more steps per second on a keyboard than on a dance pad (compare Tedo typing 0x1311 [youtube.com] to Iamchris4life tap-dancing A [youtube.com]), yet players still use a dance pad for some reason.
As a part time achievement whore on the 360 I recently came across the webcam accessory with the game "You're In The Movies". I figured a 20 dollar webcam would be nice to replace my ancient pre-Creative Webcam III cam and the game would offer a few points.
I ended up completing all the standard missions of the game even going so far as to improvise my own green screen to improve detection quality.
They may very well be making obscene amounts of profit but as a person with a general interest in DIY and electronics I would have to say trying to recreate the function of the device would be no problem for any hobbyist however the form factor of said device would be quite challenging to do without dedicated equipment.
Otherwise I'm sure we would of all seen at least a few steam punk hearing aid mods by now.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Really? For me it was from the summary when the term 'stealth mode' was used to describe your basic root kit.
Too shay.
And what about when the music cannot be taken around on tour?
Then it's not worth listening to.
You are never going to stop folks from trading files.
Exactly music is a service and should be treated as such, that's why I like to say I purchase tickets not albums.
They give the software to any student; CS or otherwise.
All you need is a valid student e-mail...

Consider the flipside, designing a codec is Really Hard Work.
So is splitting and stacking a cord of wood, but people do it every day.
I envy you then, for I have always viewed a proper education and a community worth living in as the proper tool to fight crime.
But anytime there's economic problems the first areas to get cuts are Fire/EMS/Police.
I think you mean teachers and the parks service.
Nice long thread and no one bothers to mention AOL's Neverwinter Nights or 3D0's Merdian 59.

I want one that looks like Astro Boy, 'Let's Rocket!'
Involvement of citizenry in their government is the only answer, not wallowing in paranoia.

Good but I would never of thought good enough to appear on Slashdot.
A rare miss for idle...
More powerful = lower battery life.

I don't trust Google.
Exactly, once the current leadership is out it's anyones guess.

My reason?
It was fun.

More than $500, defiantly not.
