Sorry, I wasn't trying to throw up my hands in defeat. I am simply stating that I do not know what the process is for this type of thing here and asking for people who have greater understanding enlighten me.

I've always understood that if an unconstitional law is passed, the supreme court would be the check/balance on enforcement of that law.

However, when the supreme court does something unconstitutional, I don't know/don't remember what the check is in place of that. It's been a long time since high school.

What's the difference? Oh, the big difference would be that they are taking your SHELTER. I forget what that list of absolute needs pyramid they teach in Economics class, but it's something like:

    something
    something

Where food is your absolute most motivating factor, if you don't have any.

Coming in second is your place for you and your family (if you have one) to live. Somebody takes your place to live, then you and your family are directly out in the elements. You as the official protector of your family is biologically/instinctively/logically tasked to do whatever it takes to make sure this does not happen. If you puss out to someone trying to swindle you out of your house with some bullshit legal manuevering, then what are you worth? You can be all the pussy you want, as long as it doesn't affect me. In this case, your pusilanimousness is affecting me.

And as a side-note, I am not a gun nut. I do not, and have not, ever owned a gun. I've shot them a few times, but less than 200 rounds my whole life, most of them wimpy .22 bullets. Never thought I'd really need one, but if people are going to start threatening to take my shelter, maybe I should reconsider?

No Bush-like bullshit like we get today about "Well, a bunch of Saudi's attacked us, led by an ex-Saudi in Afghanistan, so let's go attack Iraq based on several lines of bullshit."

No, instead it was 'respectable', no shady bullshit, no pack of lies, instead the straight-out truth - They just fucked with us and killed a bunch of us for no good reason (We weren't in the war at the time, and weren't playing 'Empire' back then either, all this global police force bullshit we pull all over the place these days.) So we did normal, justifiable, CavemanLogic(TM) and hit them right back. And instead of the Cavemen with the sticks and stones that they expected, we instead brought out the attack mammoths that they didn't know we had.

Straight out "we love you too!" warfare, non of the sneaky shit we pull today. So dropping the bombs was a good thing, sorry to the civilians who got taken out, but a population has the responsibility to keep it's government under control, and they failed at that, as we are failing today. A lesson we need to learn.

Also, while going to the theoretical - how many small skirmishs would have taken place from other places if someone didn't just finish it with the big +4 magic Vorpal bomb? After that, people chilled out a bit. Still minor wars, but no world wars for nearly 55 years.

We'll see what we're getting into now. We are fucking with everyone, China's starting to fuck with us. It's going to get really nasty soon, regardless of all the propaganda we're being shovelled. Trying the "Defeat them with Capitalism" trick (that worked with the USSR) a second time doesn't seem to be working so well this time. US v China will be WWIII, and the stage is getting set around us now. Watch what's going on behind the scenes, and ignore the current lies you are being fed by the big media.

Allow me to explain the purpose of the organization of Federalist Rupublic over a true Democracy: In a true Democracy, the people are the leaders. This means that their collective will is *always* carried out, even if that will is counter-productive to the existence of the civilization. A common example of this is when a Democracy bankrupts itself by voting the treasury into its own pockets.
