Even weirder, start a google search on "907743", really turns out some interesting stuff once you get past the fluff about it being a product number for a 50 pack of CD cases. A little past "Valuation of an entire county in Oklahoma" (Yes, you will find that during the search) it gets more interesting, all kinds of things for us conspiracy fans.

Yes, even as 6370, I was completely confused by the reference at first, so googled to figure out what you were talking about. Yes, I feel stupid now. :)

To turn IntelliSense options off by default

On the Tools menu, click Options.
    Select the Text Editor folder.
Select the folder for the language you want to customize IntelliSense.
Select a property page for the language and clear check boxes for the options that you do not want.

(In doing this research, I just discovered a setting "Hide Advanced Members" that was ON (???) by default for VB.NET. Just turned that off, I've been confused for quite a while why certain things that I KNEW where there were not showing up. Woohoo!!)

Just my opinion, but I really enjoyed Singularity Sky and am very much enjoying Accelerando. Stross CAN write. Can you read?

Exactly what rights do you have or not have with a machine that you've been allowed to take home?

Instead of breaking and entering, it'd be more like entering your own legally-leased apartment through the window rather than the door. Sure, the apartment management may not like it, and may eventually kick you out (aka take away the laptop) if you keep that up, but there no way in hell you could be charged with breaking and entering into your own apartment.

I find this article sums up why this mad dash to free market globalisation will just drag the whole world to a far lesser way of life.

    Partial excerpt:

    1. There is no such thing as a "free market."

    2. The "middle class" is the creation of government intervention in the marketplace, and won't exist without it (as millions of Americans and Europeans are discovering).

The conservative belief in "free markets" is a bit like the Catholic Church's insistence that the Earth was at the center of the Solar System in the Twelfth Century. It's widely believed by those in power, those who challenge it are branded heretics and ridiculed, and it is wrong.

In actual fact, there is no such thing as a "free market." Markets are the creation of government.
