  1. Very misleading summary on China Is Now the World's Largest Solar Power Producer (digitaltrends.com) · · Score: 4, Insightful

By the end of 2016, China's capacity hit 77.42 gigawatts,... As it stands, solar energy represents only one percent of the country's energy output...The NEA says that China will seek to add more than 110 gigawatts within the next three years, which could help the nation up the proportion of its renewable energy use to 20 percent by 2030

Adding the 110 gigawatts of "capacity" is a drop in the bucket. Capacity doesn't mean much actual power generated when it comes to solar.

Just under 374,000 individuals work, in whole or in part, for solar firms, with more than 260,000 of those employees spending the majority of their time on solar

    But it gets worse.

Also included in the employment totals are any firms engaged in facility construction, turbine and other generation equipment manufacturing, as well as wholesale parts distribution of all electric generation technologies.

So manufacturing and distributing solar panels also counts as "generation"?

Both statistics make sense. Fly to a meeting and stay in a hotel that's only two receipts, but both are relatively big (usually hundreds of dollars). Go to a restaurant, that's two rides; go to a meeting that's two more rides - but the rides are relatively small expenses so the total is small compared to flights and hotel.

"Voting rights advocates fear Trump's unfounded fraud claims will lead to more restrictive laws"
I suppose that's not completely fake, some advocates might fear it. Of course, some might also fear that their thoughts are being controlled by the CIA.

"Does waterboarding work? Seven questions about the controversial interrogation technique"
    More fear mongering anyone?

"Donald Trump is making major policy pronouncements based on what he sees on TV"
Sure, WP knows that, without a doubt.

"Without evidence, Trump tells lawmakers 3 million to 5 million illegal ballots cost him the popular vote"
Of course there's no evidence that there wasn't voter fraud - Democrats have fought every attempt to investigate it

"Why Orwell's '1984' matters so much now"

"Germany to abolish law on insulting foreign leaders — just in time for you know who"
