    You obviously haven't watched it this season. The number of cases that roll over from one episode to the next has greatly increased this season. As a matter of fact, the one running plot (the miniature killer) that spanned, I believe, more than 4 or 5 episodes, which they neatly tied up a couple weeks ago, appears to have resurfaced in the season opener.

    Why is it taking everyone else so long to innitiate a recall?

    Narrator: A new battery by my company ships out in a new laptop. The battery heats up. The laptop burns with all the data trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of batteries in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

    I see what you're saying, but this was for lookup of Vendors. What you're wanting is a trigger to update how much they can charge for a hammer based on their campaign contributions (give more money, can charge more for a hammer). Like so:

    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER trCroneyDiscount
    after UPDATE of AnnualContributions on Government.CampaignContributions
    for each row
    BEGIN
    Update Government.Products Set HammerPrice=((new.CampaignContributions/1000000)*( Select avg(HammerPrice) from Government.Products))

    I believe you mean:

    select VendorName

    inner join Government.CampainContributions c on v.VendorID=c.VendorID
    where p.HammerPrice > 15 and
    c.AnnualContributions < 1000000;

    "...we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them..."
    "...diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."

    Notice the key words. To paraphrase: "We don't want them to be able to develop WMDs" and "We want to stop their WMD program". A "WMD Program" means they have a working plan on how to develop and deliver WMDs. It does not mean they already have them (e.g. "Welfare Reform Programs", "Missile Defense Programs", etc.)

    At the very least, you have to give him credit for hedging his bets. Even if he believed Saddam may have had WMDs, at least he didn't make up false intelligence and claim it as fact.

    Yet another example where lazy people who should know better choose convenience over safety. That's fine, it's your fingers, but don't mandate that I pay the extra cost of some uber-safety mechanism when I'm smart enough to use the right tool for the job and leave the guards in place on my potentially lethal power tools.
