First we need a protocol somewhere between Bluetooth & 802.11b (I'm sure it exists, I am just to lazy to look for a link), that offers low-bandwidth + medium range (50m) and ultra-low battry usage (1 week of usage).

Next we can embed network aware sensors that WE can program. (level of detail to provide and/or services offered)

(You are a middle-aged computer geek who loves Thai food, hockey, and biking) You can program the device to "broadcast" your likes & dislikes this can also help when looking for a job, post your resume and be alerted whenever a company is hiring. Meanwhile companies that want to sell to your demographic can advertise to you when you get near (50m) the shop. (Like Minority report but less invasive because you can turn all of this off if you want.)

It can store all of your personal media to be displayed whenever/wherever you are.

Devices like this with an LCD in the glasses combined with something like this and a terrabyte storage in a form-factor the size of a deck of cards.

It can help with meeting other individuals that share your same tastes, AND store vital data about people you meet (incase your memory is so bad that you can't remember information ie. wifes's name, kids birthdays, etc..)

But most importantly, it's up to YOU to decide how much or how little you provide.

I only use the browser, I have never touched the IRC, Mail, Composer, or Addy book. BUT I have found firebird to be slower, more crash prone and quite unreliable compared to Moz.

My second issue is the skins. I am using this on a 1024x768 14" LCD and the default skin uses 25% of the real-estate. Under Moz I can use Micro, Little, or Tiny and they all work correctly. The skins say they support Firebird (most of the time) but when I install them it doesn't work correctly.

This is a comparison/complaint/request for insight.

I am a long time fan and player of the D&D table-top series, and a long time AD&D compter gamer (C64 titles like Pools of Radience, etc.).

I have played NWN, Baulders Gate, Dungeon Siege, and others but I am still waiting for a satisfying experience.

    *****
    Experience

NWN & BG: Excellent XP model, great feel for character building.

DS : Excellent reward model (kill something and get a prize)

NWN & BG: Takes a long time to level-up (and some rewards a very minimal when you do)

DS: I LOVE the concept of increasing your skills based on what you do. (Hack with a sword = increase in strength) very realistic .

    *******
    Quests

NWN: easy to get lost/stuck in missions. The game is very scripted (the side-adventures dont' progress the game), if you don't finish the main quests then the game will not continue. This is very frustrating to clear a map and get everything done but talk to one person (who you can't find now) and are unable to continue on with the adventure.

    BG: Same problem as NWN

DS: is VERY scripted too (the world is so small you have no choice but to find and finish every map)

    ********
    Playablity

NWN & BG: there is little feel of team that your PC's have for one another. (A bag guy could be pounding the life out of your mage while your other guys can just stand there and watch. I find these games to be unplayable in some battles because even though I can pause the action and issue new orders, it usually happens to fast to do much about it.

DS: You can assign `personality` to each of your characters. The healers can stand back and auto-heal, your archers can stay at a distance and attack safely, the warriors can run into battle at the first sign of a bad guy. But most of all, they all react if one of the team is getting attacked.

    *********
    Summary:
NWN & BG are both cut from the same cloth. They both feel like multi-player games area requirement not an option. A single-player game is tedious, boring and much-like work.

DS: very playable as single-player game and very multi-play is a huge bonus. downside: It's too much like Diablo.

I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on these games. Am I missing something? Did I forget to click on a "stupid user" button?
I want to enjoy all of these games.

In P2 you can see an Alien skull+spine in the Predator ship.

Let's completely ignore the AvP games and follow this premise:

    Predator's are hunters after trophies.
    Aliens are very buff "prey".
What is the only species that we know of that can kill an Alien (besides Predators)? Humans.

Use whatever space/time/wormhole/time-travel special FX you want to get all these parties together.

Aliens vs Predators in concept is still an awesome idea. I would love the see the Animatrix folks take a stab at that story line.
