Just like the word digital. Insert it into anything and if you're a corporation you can get laws passed if you cry enough.

  2. With all of its power on Why Google Should Buy the Music Industry · · Score: 1

Google should go scouting for GOOD music on their own. Plenty of music available for free like on http://www.ektoplazm.com/ I'm sure those artists would be more then happy to be offered distribution by Google and getting paid properly by the G-Lable

Not quite. I don't like MS and do prefer Google as a company BUT if they out right lied then they should be punished accordingly. If they keep on doing it then its time to support someone else who can do business with out lying or borderline breaking laws.

I was hoping for some serious Sony whoop ass and was willing to donate more but looks like Sony saw the writing on the wall and "agreed to settle" to save face. Oh well back to not buying anything with Sony on it.

So it was hard to communicate with your family and friends before facebook? Or maybe you're just obsessed about seeing what others are up to all the time? Ever realize that since none of those people put too much effort into seeing what you were up to before facebook they actually could have cared less about being in contact with you?

You should check out The Province http://www.theprovince.com/ when a new Apple toy is introduced or updated. Last iPad2 intro was on the front page as a main story for about 3-4 days. Yup more important when local and national news. Which plays into The Province pushing for viewers to read their site through an app. Yes you too can get your The Province website through an app.

Say I have an e-commerce site and the lowest profit margin I need to make is 30% on each sale/item.

A user at my sites selects one or more items and when all those item(s), minus the shipping cost come out to 30%+ profit margin the shopping cart software then gives the user free shipping (also notifies the user with a "You qualify for Fee shipping" message) or possibly give the user discount on shipping just to make them feel better.

With used dvd's for $2 at Pawnshops and Blue Rays at $8 (which I have no use for as long as they re still making $20 dvd players) I could care less if they dropped pricing as then I'd get it even cheaper second hand. I don't care anymore to support any music and movie companies. It was hard at first but I haven't been to the movies in over a year now and just wait for the dvd second hand.

As for music I don't have time anymore to spend hours at music stores seeing what is what. I'd rather go and spend the time searching for CC licensed music then spend time listening to commercial junk and then still pay for it the same price as a music cd.
