I wonder what Circuit City would do if I walked in and paid cash for an iOpener and then signed Bill Gates on the service contract? I mean, they won't come and take my iOpener away from me because I am not paying my monthly fee, right?!?

The WAVE Card It's cool... check it out! The incredible WAVE Card is going to make your life very fun>
So be sure to visit our website on a regular basis (lots and lots of times) to check out what great deals and free stuff the WAVE Card is going to get you.
Remember, we're going to be constantly updating the WAVE Card offerings, so did we mention that you will want to visit us lots and lots of times.
I mean, what happens when someone writes a "virus" that dumps your keyboard buffer to an email address (your bosses:) every 20 minutes. That shouldn't be too hard for some slashdotters out there.
That may be, but I have a bunch of fun playing Super Smash Brothers on my N64! I just wish I could get 4 people together on my PSX and beat the sh&t out of them!:)
That's exactly what I am going to do. I have been wanting a DVD player and some more gaming options for a little while, and now I can have both for one low price! And to top it all off, they will probably have all _bugs_ squashed by then, and maybe even some better DVD software. Cool!!
I think one of the major aims of the Curuso is embedded devices. Therefor, you have no need to upgrade the processor. Thus, it will be mounted directly to the PCB.
I'm not really sure color is a good thing for Palm. I realize they _HAD_ to (public perception) but really, what does color buy you? I can only think of a couple of uses: some sort of warning (Battery Life Is Failing! - [due to the color screen, no doubt:]) or maybe some photos of the kids. But with only 256 colors, your kids wont look their best.:(
Don't get me wrong, I think it is cool and all that. I just don't think I will have that much use for it.
My best friend's Dad used to work at Ford and in the early to mid 80's they sponsored a workshop in which they taught you how to assemble a computer. It was a 9-10 week course and at the end of it you got to keep your computer. I think it was yours to keep with no strings attatched.
I think it's cool Ford is doing it again. Kudos to them.

theoretically, since the code morphing software resides in flash memory, once it does happen, all you'd need to do is flash it, and give it a new hdd (or lose your windoze data.)
Nah, the Apple MBs have so much more stuff than the regular PC systems. I don't think it would be feasible to say that one MB would work for both Windoze and Apple.
Hmmm...although, maybe an Apple MB could be dumbed up enough to run Windoze...hmmm...
I agree! It was the best. While the halftime show was going on, the camera was on in the control room. So all you saw was Fred (from Scooby Doo) yaking with some evil guy (I think from Space Ghost). It was the funniest thing ever. They were talking about the shows and Cartoon Network, and the evil guy asked Fred about Daphnie.
"So, were you two an item?" "I'm not saying" "Aww, come on. Throw me a bone."
Oh it was great. It ended up with someone calling the control booth and telling them that the camera was on in there instead of out on the field.
I have a similar problem - I'm drowning in cables! I just rebuilt my "Data Center" in my basement and it still looks like a snakes nest. A rack might help with some of the clutter, but not the cables going everywhere.
Also, if you put things in racks isn't it hard to take the cover off and tinker? I find my self constantly changing IDE cables, swapping out cards, setting jumpers, moving hard drives, etc. Or am I just weird?:) Later...
Power consumption of the chip is lower, but power consumption of the chip is only 20-30% of a notebook, limiting the value of this "revolution."
That's true, but since it runs so much cooler it does not need a fan or a super huge heat sink. That cpu fan reduces battery life and the heat sink adds weight. Later...
Yup, that's kinda what I do. I have a couple of important passwords (work, Linux boxen at home, etc.) that are unique. But most of the passwords I use are just throw away. I use them to download trial software or read news articles. Fluff.
Yes, but doesnt that also turn off active content in IE as well? I don't want JavaScript executing in my eMail, but it's kinda handy for the Web. Later...

This is no longer true in IE 5.x. It has the option to print the entire page, frames and all, if desired. Pretty cool for a Micro$oft thing.
