I recall reading a great article about a test site where the cold water was circulated through pipes that cooled soil& irrigated plants via condensation from ambient moisture, making hot volcanic soils viable for many crops that would otherwise be unable to grow. Chilled soil agriculture Fresh water was also produced by air condensers. This tech is not all about electricity, it can directly and indirectly produce other outputs.

As a CEO, decisive action is made when no one else will speak of the elephant in the room, or assumptions need to be broken to progress.
Second, I have done lots of team work as well as remote work.. the physical interface of people is important for synergy. The problems I have solved by simply walking around the workplace and networking people who sit within 10m of each other are beyond counting.
Thirdly, Yahoo must really be in trouble and this is a sincere attempt to save it. Perhaps time to pay for their premium service.. They could use the cash, and i could use downloading my old emails.
The revenge effect from this decision could be nasty tho.. Security could get worse since some won't go and skills won't get transferred. People who worked remotely may not integrate well and may carry resentment into the workplace and the attempt to save it just might work just enough to drag the brand even lower. Good luck Yahoo! Having seen a household of USB plugs break from the BB's mainboard, and heard more of the same, I think this company may get suckered on a real simple bit of engineering. The spring loaded hooks on the charging cable basically rip the short micro-usb plug off when removing the cable in normal use.
I was surprisingly impressed with some of the innovative and modular internal construction tho, shame they can't seem to keep their house in order.

It seems that class of molecules has a natural function in the brain, to ease or wipe bad memories. How many burned out coders do you know who just broke cause they held onto it all. Also as far as a work life balance, people need to chill out and marijuana is one way people do that.
Now if we are talking about heavy chronics, that is a different story.. the one benefit is that it keeps them in their chairs I guess.. but beyond that not so much.
I believe it. Russian Engineering always seems to have its house in order. They have experience with Super Cavitation and perhaps there is some applicable cross over tech. Lets not forget that a rocket plane is feasible. If it was me, I'd remove the hypersonic engine as a dependency from the get go and allow design to progress in that area once other issues are proven by flight testing and there is a solid platform to test and evolve the engine upon. Even if the platform never gets an upgraded engine, an actual plane generates better press than arm waving and exploding engine tests.

While driving at night in the desert near Yuma AZ over a decade ago, I saw indicator lights on the tips of a huge triangle. The only reasonable explanation I could come up with was either a very large inflatable aircraft, or a very very slow flying formation of smaller aircraft. I doubt this is actually a new development.. more of an announcement of a project that has already been in play for some time.

When I tried to change for you, you blew up my plug-ins, and some of the popular ones had been modded in the meantime to become more ad driven crapware. So your update forced me into a brave new world of uselessness. You're "new look" seems part of an industry wide make work project. Leave the F'ing interface alone! (That goes for all you tossers in OS and App development, mainly cuz the trend is killing features and dumbing down). We had something special, and like William Burroughs said in Naked Lunch : "I realized that I was addicted to something that didn't exist."
