Efficiency, quality, and reliability DOES NOT automatically follow when profit is the motivation.
So what you're saying is that it's impossible for me to buy a BMW and eat a steak right now. I have to buy a Ford with a McDonalds burger because profit motivation will never create quality? Where have you during the the last 200 years of capitalism?
If the workers are paid too little, they lack motivation, leave, etc. and the company fails. Laws that empower unions or management too much disrupt this balance.
I'd like to point out that one of the main functions of management is to SET this balance. Limiting their ability to do this will only hurt the company (and thus, the workers).
A company makes millions off of my efforts because they take the iniative to combine the efforts of hundreds of people while accepting significant financial risks. When you take a job at the company, your personal investment is very small. If they stop paying you, you simply look for another job. If you want the risks and awards associated with earning millions, start your own company or start investing.
If you work uncompensated overtime, that's your own problem. I suggest that you work it out with your supervisor or find a better job.
Rich people are corrupt? Wow, how is that for a simple-minded generalization. Not to worry, some day you will figure out how to make a few bucks yourself and your view will correct itself.
A quick search for "Saddam Bush" will return 2,530,000 hits. The first site on the list suggests that they were doing business together. What were you trying to illustrate again? Did you forget to take your medicine?
Good luck, he works for Michael Moore.

Obviously you never used AOL in the old days.
Aquiring the disk space is easy. The hard part is paying for the bandwidth to make that space useful.

I'm sorry that your work as an individual is not valuable, but please do not bring the rest of us down with your union.
Corporate taxes are nowhere near that high. If they were, we wouldn't have jobs.

A company gives you a stable job for 10 years and then they OWE you something?
If you ate meat, you wouldn't have to run from predators so much.
So you want a flat tax?
Yeah, and everyone knows that the elite stick their money underneath mattresses and never spend or invest.
How do you know that profits increased spectacularly? Can you cite some examples? Industry statistics?
Do you have any idea how much it would cost? Are you offering to pay for it?
The rest of us would appreciate it if people like you just stayed at home. Thanks.
Following your logic, I guess it's safe to take the bus in Israel since they've already done that one.

For being "idiots", they certainly are successful. Orange County is one of the richest counties in the nation.
Wow, I never realized that anecdotes "speak volumes".
Maybe people just stopped looking things up!
Is your entire post based on what you learned at a seminar, or was it just the second paragraph?

Sounds like you've found a job that better suits your skills. Problem solved.
Care to give any historical examples?
