    Efficiency, quality, and reliability DOES NOT automatically follow when profit is the motivation.

    So what you're saying is that it's impossible for me to buy a BMW and eat a steak right now. I have to buy a Ford with a McDonalds burger because profit motivation will never create quality? Where have you during the the last 200 years of capitalism?

    Aquiring the disk space is easy. The hard part is paying for the bandwidth to make that space useful.

    If the workers are paid too little, they lack motivation, leave, etc. and the company fails. Laws that empower unions or management too much disrupt this balance.

    I'd like to point out that one of the main functions of management is to SET this balance. Limiting their ability to do this will only hurt the company (and thus, the workers).

    A company makes millions off of my efforts because they take the iniative to combine the efforts of hundreds of people while accepting significant financial risks. When you take a job at the company, your personal investment is very small. If they stop paying you, you simply look for another job. If you want the risks and awards associated with earning millions, start your own company or start investing. If you work uncompensated overtime, that's your own problem. I suggest that you work it out with your supervisor or find a better job.
