    What really annoys me about the box that pops up is that there is an "Always trust content from" box, but there is no "Never trust content from" box. It should work like the prompt for accepting cookies.

    I read the article and I know what the program does. My point is that they did not commit a crime by creating a trojan that just modifies itself, according to UK law.

    IANAL, but according to the Computer Misuse Act of 1990 a person is only guilty if they had the intention of modifying and knowledge to modify the contents of any computer

    (a) to impair the operation of any computer;
    (b) to prevent or hinder access to any program or data held in any computer; or
    (c) to impair the operation of any such program or the reliability of any such data.

    The only thing the program does is send a network message, it doesn't actually modify data on the computer other than itself.

    I think a better job would be to do onsite tech support. It doesn't require too much social interaction, it's centered around technology, and usually employers require some semblance of personal hygiene.

    I used to work in a computer lab in college and they had us go through a seminar on providing exceptional customer service. This was definitely helpful in helping me deal with people. You also learn social skills when you have to interact daily with people who would save the only copy of their thesis to a floppy that eventually gets corrupted.

    I tried looking for information on RedHat dropping their Linux desktop as an unviable product. All I found was that they are not supporting older distributions but are actually accelerating their development of Linux for the desktop of course that won't be a free distribution.
