About the only pre-9/11 change I remember is when they stopped letting non-flying people past the security checkpoints, and when they started requiring ID to get a boarding pass [sometime in the 90's].
They stopped letting non-flying people past security after 9/11. They started requiring ID for a boarding pass in 95 -- post OK City.
I had the DPT series as a kid. So did my daughter. We both got Pertussis (Whooping cough) anyways (this was in 2001). It doesn't always take (or in my case, the immunity faded).
I haven't bought a computer at a B&M in 5 years (last one was at PC Club), but I've bought consumer electronics.
My last two video cameras were bought at Circuit City (Canoga Park, CA). In both cases, the salesperson asked me what my intended use was, and actually steered me away from some of the higher priced bells and whistles, to a more reasonably priced item. I was very pleased with this type of service.
He's not saying it would be USB. He's using it as an example of the external bus. That is, you'd have a new CPU, which you could plug into an external HT port.
Obviously we need BadAnalogyGuy to comment on this one.
Unfortunately some other cockatoo will attack him with a banana.
Edison Carter, where are you?
My first thought was also Blipverts.
So... Thou Art G-d?
Yeah, but I still think that a 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendment argument could be made against banning encryption.

\i{We have no idea what the long-term impact of these devices inside the human body could be.}
Actually, we kind of do. This technology has been used on animals for years.
But in the end, didn't they settle out of court?
Only because the judge told them to do so.
Don't forget "The Magnificent Seven", which was a thinly disguised remake of "The Seven Samurai". Both films were brilliant.
Second movie, actually.
But will they get Poindexter back, or is Timothy Busfield now too cool, since he's CJ's boyfriend on West Wing?
They did this on "Law & Order" as well.
They fade, or don't always work.

How did Alanis Morrisette get dragged into this?
OMG! U mean, like, Britney, doesn't totally write her own songs!
Like, my ponies are gonna cry! OMG!!!!
Because the President violated his oath of office?
He swore to uphold and defend the Constitution. Allowing domestic wiretaps without a warrant is a violation of said oath.
And the warrants would have been easy to obtain, including the fact that they're available up to 72 hours after the fact.
Any chance that you could post a link for those of us who aren't CSS/HTML wizards?
Actually, Win2K is probably the best release of Windows that MS has ever put out.

Because politically, it's a lot easier to say "I voted for the Fuzzy Bunny Act" than "I voted for the Give The Big Telecoms Lots Of Money Act".
Tell Vint Cerf I said... Hello.

P.S. Back in the day, that bagger also helped you load groceries into the car. Not anymore.
At the supermarket near my house, the boxperson always asks if I want "car service", i.e. help loading my car.
I'm pretty particular about how I load the car with groceries, so I say "no, thank you", but they do offer.
Child porn is the root password to the Constitution. "Terrorism" is the alternate password.
There is NOOOOOOO Rule 6!

Did you have Rule 6?
